Today, LA-based duo More Giraffes announce their debut It Was A Joke EPto be released on 11.09. The 5 song EP includes the singles “Not Cool”(directed by Colin West McDonald), “Basement” and “Dinosaur”, which have received critical praise and are also featured on their forthcoming EP, slated for release on 11.09. The cover art is designed by Paul Fuentes.

The 8th Annual World Choreography Awards (WCA) will be held on October 23 at The Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. The Choreography Awards, produced and directed by Allen Walls and Cheryl Baxter-Ratliff, are a global awards show celebrating and honoring the best in media choreography. The WCA recognizes choreographic achievement in 8 categories: Motion Picture, Music Video, Commercials, Television Episodic, Television Award Show/Specials, Digital Content, Digital Content Independent and Television Reality Show/Competition.

Today, Young the Giant announce dates for their 2019 Mirror Master Tour in support of the new full-length album of the same name, released earlier this month via Elektra Records. Mirror Master includes recently released tracks 'Simplify' and 'Call Me Back', along with the musing single 'Superposition'. In addition to the newly announced show dates, the band is currently touring this fall across the US with LIGHTS as main support.

Eye-poppingly gorgeous, with a design aesthetic that's perfectly wedded to the source material provided by composer/lyricist Stephen Sondheim and book writer Hugh Wheeler, and featuring some of the most electrifying performances we've ever witnessed at Cumberland County Playhouse (where they know a thing or 100 about staging musicals), Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street is spectacular.

THE GREEN ROOM 42 will present VIVIAN REED in an encore performance of her centennial tribute to entertainment icon Lena Horne on Today, October 20 at 7:00 PM. The evening is back by popular demand after the first show at the venue on Horne's birthday this summer.

The 2018 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition culminated Wednesday evening, October 17, at CAG's Winners' Showcase Concert, featuring performances by the winners of the annual international competition.

Producer Mark Cortale is kicking-off the seventh season of his celebrated Broadway @ NOCCA concert series on November 1 with internationally renowned opera star Marisol Montalvo, bringing her acclaimed new show Mad Scene for its New Orleans debut. The show was written and directed by Jeffery Roberson (aka Varla Jean Merman) and features William Hobbs at the piano. The series will continue with two-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole on December 15, Tony Award winner Jessie Mueller on January 31, and Tony nominee & star of TV's Supergirl and Smash, Jeremy Jordan on March 29 - with each joined by Sirius XM radio star Seth Rudetsky as music director and host.

Multiple award-winning artists will join forces to release a new bilingual children's album. Singing You Home - Children's Songs for Family Reunification, to be released through all digital music and streaming providers on Friday, October 26, will feature tracks from Lin-Manuel Miranda & Mandy Gonzalez, Josh Groban & Idina Menzel, Audra McDonald & Jason Robert Brown, Kristin Chenoweth, Cynthia Erivo, Laura Benanti & Isabella Preston and Ingrid Michaelson & Ana Villafañe

This November a city-wide festival of contemporary dance and performance, music, visual art and film and more by leading Estonian artists will be presented in Glasgow as part of the centenary celebrations of the Estonian Republic.

Peak Performances continues its galvanizing 2018-19 season with Liz Gerring Dance Company's field (October 18-21), the final installment in a trilogy of works Peak Performances has commissioned from the acclaimed choreographer. This work of movement, sound, and light marks the third collaboration between Liz Gerring, composer Michael J. Schumacher, and designer Robert Wierzel, following 2013's glacier and 2015's horizon.

Immerse yourself in the beauty of movement and music with Jessica Lang Dance (JLD) Company at the Gettysburg College's Majestic Theater on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 sat 7:30p.m. As one of the most celebrated choreographers of her generation, Bessie Award winning Jessica Lang has paved the way for female-driven contemporary ballet. Her work seamlessly incorporates a range of inspirations, including visual art, theatrical lyricism, human anatomy and the nuances of bodily gesture, forming breathtaking compositions. "Jessica Lang Dance is one of America's most exciting, young modern dance companies. Her choreography is athletic, accessible and attractive," remarked Jeffrey Gabel, Majestic Theater Founding Executive Director. "It's the perfect program for first-time dance goers."

Young People's Theatre will present Green Thumb Theatre's The Code - an impactful production about the effects of social media on personal relationships. Written by award-winning playwright Rachel Aberle, and recommended for ages 13 & up, The Code will be presented in the Studio November 27 to December 14, 2018.

The Broadway Artists Connection (BAC) presents its All Stars Benefit, 'Broadway To Africa To Fight Poverty,' hosted by Broadway's Bradley Gibson (Simba in the Lion King) on Monday, October 29th at 7:00pm (doors open at 6:00pm).

Honoring the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I and the beginning of the Weimar Republic (1918-2018)   International chanteuse Adrienne Haan will be featured in a Joseph Barry Production, Voluptuous Weimar-A Tribute to Berlin's Golden Age.  Haan's performance celebrates the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I and the beginning of the Weimar Republic with musical selections that characterize Berlin during the 1920's and early 30's as a time of change.  The program under the musical direction of  pianist Richard Danley includes Spoliansky's, It's All a Swindle, Hollaender's Falling in Love Again, Berlin's Puttin' on the Ritz and Porter's Night and Day. Ms. Haan will perform with the Grammy-award winning 1920's Big Band, Vince Giordano and The Nighthawks. 

Chicago Magic Lounge, Chicago's new home for close-up magic, is proud to present Spotlight: Women in Magic, featuring some of the world's best professional magicians - who all happen to be women. Hosted by The Incredible Jan Rose, Spotlight: Women in Magic will feature magic by Lucy Darling (aka Carisa Hendrix) and close-up magician extraordinaire, Alba, with headliner (and first-time guest) Jade, the first woman to win the Gold Medal of Magic from the International Brotherhood of Magicians. Spotlight: Women in Magic will be presented as part of Chicago Magic Lounge's The Signature Show, for five performances, November 29 - December 1, 2018.
