Willard, Vereen, & McCraney to be Honored at Depaul Theatre School’s Annual Awards, 4/19

The Theatre School at DePaul University is pleased to announce that FRED WILLARD (actor, For Your Consideration, Best in Show, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy) will join BEN VEREEN (actor, Roots, Sweet Charity, Pippin) and 2010 Pulitzer Prize nominee TARELL ALVIN MCCRANEY (playwright, The Brother/Sister Plays & Theatre School Alumnus) as recipients of the 2010 Awards for Excellence in the Arts on Monday, April 19, 2010, at the Four Seasons Hotel.

McCarter Theatre Presents John Lithgow In STORIES BY HEART 4/17

McCarter Theatre will host two homecoming celebrations when it welcomes two of Princeton's brightest stars: acclaimed actor John Lithgow in his one-man show Stories by Heart on Wednesday, April 7 and children's music superstar Laurie Berkner for two performances on Saturday, April 17.

The American Repertory Theater is pleased to announce the cast for Johnny Baseball, a world premiere musical about the Red Sox, with music by Robert Reale, lyrics by Willie Reale, book by Richard Dresser, story by Richard Dresser and Willie Reale, with musical direction and vocal arrangements by Wendy Bobbitt Cavett; musical arrangements by Bruce Coughlin.

Yale Rep Presents BATTLE OF BLACK AND DOGS, Opens 4/22

New Rep Presents HOT MIKADO, Runs 5/3-5/22 at the Arsenal Center for the Arts

New Repertory Theatre, in residence at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, is thrilled to present Hot Mikado, book and lyrics adapted by David H. Bell with musical adaptation and arrangements by Rob Bowman. Hot Mikado opens for the press on Monday, May 3, 2010 at 7:30pm and plays through Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the Arsenal Center for the Arts in the Charles Mosesian Theater.

Reprise Records To Release AMERICAN IDIOT Cast Recording, 4/20

Reprise Records will release The Original Broadway Cast Recording of American Idiot on April 20, 2010, the same day the show will open at the St. James Theatre in New York City. The official album features the 24-member cast accompanied by Green Day, marking another incredible collaboration between the band and the musical. Based on Green Day's chart-topping 2004 album American Idiot, the musical and the cast recording include every song from American Idiot, as well as several songs from the band's GRAMMY® Award-winning current album 21st Century Breakdown.

McCarter Theatre has announced the complete casting and creative team for the American premiere of Take Flight, a new musical by Richard Maltby Jr, David Shire and John Weidman that blends fact and fiction to tell the interweaving stories of three pioneers of aeronautics: the Wright Brothers, Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart.
