Joseph Benincasa presidet/CEO of the Actors Fund and Max Klimavicius managing partner of Sardi's honored Sylvia as family and friends toasted her. Slyvia and her husband David are well known in the theater community and as Joe Benincasa pointed out, 'To know Slyvia is to love her'.

The beloved Broadway tradition continued yesterday, June 11, as Sardi's added a caricature of Hal Luftig to its legendary walls. As BroadwayWorld announced earlier this week, two-time Tony Award winner Andrea Martin will depart PIPPIN following the Sunday, September 22nd performance to lead the cast of the new Global TV series 'Working the Engels,' which will film in Toronto. A replacement for the role of 'Berthe' in PIPPIN will be announced soon. The show is currently playing at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street).
