The producers of the new Broadway musical comedy NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT hosted a "'S Wonderful" box office on yesterday, March 1st at the Imperial Theatre. From 10 a.m. to noon, NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT fans had the chance to win tickets to preview performances, gift certificates, signed items, and other treats through surprise giveaways and by answering trivia questions about the show's stars and songs.
Bravo's WATCH WHAT HAPPENS LIVE has announced the upcoming guests for the month of March. Broadway and TV star Kristin Chenoweth will make a guest appearance on the show on Monday, April 2.
The New Group will present the world premiere of An Early History of Fire, a new play by Tony Award-winning playwright David Rabe. Directed by Jo Bonney, this production features Deema Aitken, Gordon Clapp, Erin Darke, Jonny Orsini, Devin Ratray, Dennis Staroselsky, Theo Stockman and Claire van der Boom. Limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated April 5 - May 26 at The New Group @ Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). Official Opening Night is set for Monday, April 23 at 7:00 PM. Lily Rabe, who was previously slated to star in the play will no longer be taking part in the production.

NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT, with music and lyrics by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin and a book by two-time Tony Award-winner Joe DiPietro (Memphis), will open on Tuesday, April 24 at Broadway's Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street). NICE WORK IF YOU CAN GET IT stars two-time Tony Award-winner Matthew Broderick (The Producers, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying) and three-time Tony Award nominee Kelli O'Hara (South Pacific, The Pajama Game) and will be directed and choreographed by three-time Tony Award-winner Kathleen Marshall (Anything Goes, The Pajama Game).
According to the New York Times, Playwrights Horizons will present FAR FROM HEAVEN, a new musical with book by Tony Award winner and two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Richard Greenberg (Take Me Out, Three Days of Rain), music by Tony Award nominee Scott Frankel (Grey Gardens) and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Michael Korie (Grey Gardens, The Grapes of Wrath), in Spring 2013. The show will also play Williamstown Theatre Festival this summer. The musical was adapted from the acclaimed, award-winning 2002 Focus Features/Vulcan Productions motion picture Far From Heaven, written and directed by Todd Haynes.
Following its acclaimed, sold-out run earlier this season as part of Theater for the New City's Dream Up Festival, playwright Brandt Johnson's JUST SEX will return to Theater for the New City (155 First Avenue) for a limited Off-Broadway engagement. Preview performances of JUST SEX begin March 22 prior to an official press opening of March 27.
