Relativity School of Film, Media and Performing Arts will host a panel discussion with the creative team behind one of the longest running shows in Broadway history on Monday, July 22nd from 3-5pm PST at LA Center Studios, 450 South Bixel St, LA, CA 90017. This will be the first time the creative team tells the amazing story of ROCK OF AGES at a live panel. The team will include: Chris D'Arienzo (writer), Kristin Hanggi (director), Matt Weaver (lead producer), Hillary Weaver (producer), Janet Billig Rich (producer and music supervisor), Dave Gibbs (orchestrations and arrangements), and Scott Prisand (producer).

The film adaptation of Broadway's ROCK OF AGES will be released on Blu-ray/DVD on October 9, 2012. The film, which had its theatrical release on June 15th, stars Tom Cruise, Julianne Hough, Alec Baldwin, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Russell Brand, Paul Giamatti and Diego Boneta.

Relativity Media has solidified an exclusive production arrangement with MediaWeaver Entertainment, it was announced today by Relativity's President, Tucker Tooley. In the deal, founder Matt Weaver will focus on theatrical and live shows while also potentially bringing in new film, television and digital projects to Relativity's respective divisions including Relativity's television division RelativityREAL, and digital studio RogueLife.

Deadline.com reports that GLEE and 'American Horror Story' co-executive producer Brad Buecker will direct Lionsgate's upcoming musical TIME AFTER TIME. Steve Golin, Joy Gorman and Matt Weaver will produce the film.

Tom Cruise, who will star as Stacee Jaxx in the film, recently chatted with the LA Times about putiing on his dancing shoes for the film. Cruise told LAT: 'I had started dancing because I was inspired by my wife. She kept saying, 'You've got to do a musical sometime. Kate's a dancer, so she would say, 'Let's go to dance class,' and she would take us and that's how I kind of came up with the idea of Les Grossman doing hip-hop. And then to take it to this level with this? It was really fun.'

According to published reports,Tom Cruise will give a concert tonight in Miami in character as Stacee Jaxx to be filmed for the ROCK OF AGES film. Crusie will reportedly be singing Bon Jovi's 'Wanted, Dead or Alive' and Journey's 'Don't Stop Believing.' The concert is taking place at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens. A New Line Cinema casting notice for the crowd called for 80s enthusiasts over 16 dressed in their best 80s garb. New Line Cinema's film version of the smash hit Broadway musical 'Rock of Ages' has begun principal photography under the direction of Adam Shankman ('Hairspray'), and not everyone is thrilled about the big screen adaptation. According to Thewrap.com, Broadway producer Carl Levin from Eleven Entertainment claims that the movie owes him more than the $400,000 that was piad to him in producers' fees. Levin filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday, July 6.
