Last year Jimmy Kimmel declared November 17 - National UnFriend Day (NUD). NUD is a holiday dedicated to giving Facebook users the opportunity to 'unfriend' people without any guilt. This annual event was created to weed out people on Facebook whom users wouldn't usually have contact with in their day to day lives, reserving the connection only for true friends.
Following Halloween, Jimmy Kimmel challenged parents to pretend they'd eaten all of their kids' trick or treat candy, video tape each child's reaction to the bad news and then post it to YouTube. The late-night host shared the results in a video -- and the kids were pissed. The video has grown exponentially over the past week, with more than 14 million views on YouTube.

With the recession in the US lingering on and many traditional sources of funding for the arts drying up, more and more non-profits and other charitable organizations are having to find new and creative ways of raising money.
