Tonight, NBC is pulling back the curtain on the upcoming PETER PAN LIVE! As BroadwayWorld recently reported, the MAKING OF PETER PAN LIVE! special will share secrets about the production, including how everybody's favorite fairy Tinkerbell will be created.
Today in 1991, the second Broadway revival of Peter Pan opened at the MInskoff Theatre, where it ran for 48 performances. Peter Pan is a musical adaptation of J. M. Barrie's 1904 play Peter Pan and Barrie's own novelization of it, Peter and Wendy. The music is mostly by Mark 'Moose' Charlap, with additional music by Jule Styne, and most of the lyrics were written by Carolyn Leigh, with additional lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green. The original 1954 Broadway production, starring Mary Martin as Peter and Cyril Ritchard as Captain Hook, earned Tony Awards for both stars.
Allison Williams recently spoke to ET about how flying for NBC's upcoming PETER PAN LIVE! has left hard-earned bruises and kicked up her appetite for donuts, bagels and 'everything sinful' to keep her fueled. Watch the interview below!

A lot of people have had their hands in creating Peter Pan, Jr., and the result is a wonderful show for the children. Based on the 1904 J.M. Barrie and 1953 Disney film, Peter Pan, Jr. streamlines a lot of the story and songs of the productions with which most adults are familiar. The most glaring omissions are the songs, 'I'm Flying' and 'I Won't Grow Up' and the barely visible strings of the flying effects. But this production at the Downtown Cabaret Children's Theatre more than make up for that. And, after all, most of the kids won't know what they missed, and will enjoy the show anyway.
