Producers Broadway Across America (John Gore, Thomas B. McGrath, Beth Williams), Barbara Whitman, Latitude Link, Dede Harris, Sharon Karmazin, and Howard and Janet Kagan have just announced that the La Jolla Playhouse production of the new American musical HANDS ON A HARDBODY will open Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Broadway's Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 West 47th Street), following a preview period that begins Saturday, February 23, 2013. Women in Innovation Summit 2012 (WINS), part of The Next Fifty celebration at Seattle Center, 8 a.m. - 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 22, in Intiman Playhouse.

A new casting notice has gone out for both an upcoming fall developmental lab of the Broadway-bound HANDS ON A HARDBODY, as well as the upcoming Broadway production, which aims to begin rehearsals in January of 2013. This fits with the previously announced news that the La Jolla Playhouse production would be heading to Broadway this coming season.

Carpenter Square Theatre will host "Best in Ten 2012," an event to benefit the theater, on Saturday, August 18. The event will be held at 800 W. Main , located at the southwest corner of Main and Shartel in downtown Oklahoma City . Proceeds from "Best in Ten" will help support the theater's building fund, as well as programming for the theatre's 29th Season, which includes eight productions and educational outreach to at-risk students in the metro area. The theme for this year's benefit is "little theatre…Big Ideas!"
