The reading is an unprecedented account of the Federal District Court trial in Perry v. Schwarzenegger (now Perry v. Brown), the case filed by AFER to overturn Proposition 8, which stripped gay and lesbian Californians of the right to marry.

Reuters reports that the Actors' Equity Association has given its approval for a proposed merger between the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. According to Reuters, Actors' Equity made the approval official on Tuesday.
