A glittering group representing theatre and technology worlds celebrated a beautiful friendship Saturday night when TheatreWorks, the nationally acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, staged its annual TheatreWorks Honors gala June 21 at the Palo Alto Hills Golf and Country Club, this year paying tribute to Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award-winning Broadway composer Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party, The Addams Family, Big Fish) and Ray Rothrock, Partner Emeritus of pioneering venture capital firm Venrock. San Jose Stage Company presents the iconic holiday classic, It's A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play, from tonight, November 27 through December 22.

The Stage is transformed into a 1940s radio studio, where six actors gather to perform the holiday classic as a live radio play on Christmas Eve. This captivating holiday treat brings the spirit of the season to life right before your eyes (and ears). The ensemble becomes the characters, stepping into the iconic scenes that have warmed hearts and souls for generations.

San Jose Stage Company lands the regional premiere of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson. The brash and irreverent rock musical, about the country we live in and the leaders we choose, uses a blend of comedy, rebellious theatricality and an emo rock score. Written by Alex Timbers with music and lyrics by Michael Friedman, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson runs now through July 29 and is directed by Rick Singleton.
