THE CRIPPLE OF INISHMAAN's Daniel Radcliffe Wins Best Actor at WhatsOnStage Awards

Daniel Radcliffe won Best Actor in a Play at London's WhatsOnStage Awards yesterday, for his performance in the Michael Grandage Company production of THE CRIPPLE OF INISHMAAN, by Martin McDonagh. Director Michael Grandage also won Best Director for his company's inaugural season of work, including THE CRIPPLE OF INISHMAAN.

The Hartt School opens 2014 with an exciting new initiative to share the incredible work of its students and faculty more broadly. Each semester, a schedule of live streaming events will be announced, allowing those near and far to plan ahead to experience some of the 400 performances The Hartt School offers each year. Daniel Radcliffe's NYT Magazine Cover Nominated for ASME Award

Underneath the neon headline ('Harry Who?') is a black and white portrait of a behooded, scraggly Daniel Radcliffe, looking about as distant as he possibly could from the boy wizard who made him a household name. This is the New York Times Magazine cover (October 2013) that is currently nominated for an award from the American Society of Magazine Editors. Radcliffe's cover is up against 55 others in the Entertainment and Celebrity category; readers can vote by liking the cover on Facebook.

BELFREY to Open 1/31 at Malibu Playhouse

The second play in MALIBU PLAYHOUSE'S 2013-2014 season will be the West Coast Premiere of Belfry by Billy Roche, opening Friday, January 31, 2014. The play will be directed by Veronica Brady and stars Michael Hyland, Rebekah Tripp and 2010 American Idol contestant Carson Higgins. Our Houston Theatre Christmas Wish List

'Twas the night before Christmas, and through the Houston area people were shopping, cursing their error. Why did they wait for the last few minutes to buy so many holiday presents? Cozy, at home, two theater enthusiasts discussed theatrical amusements. There were funny shows, and sad ones. Some had music and joviality, while others encouraged civic responsibility. But, sadly, the list of dream shows to see just grew and grew. Wouldn't it be great if Houston produced just a few? They may have been done, but not since we started seeing everything. Oh, Santa and producers, please make true our Christmas dreams.
