The Charlotte, NC engagement of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning musical JERSEY BOYS broke the box office record at the Belk Theatre for the week ending April 4, with a gross of $1,164,813, breaking the previous record of $1,147,909 set by The Color Purple for week ending May 24, 2009.

On April 2, THE ADDAMS FAMILY star Nathan Lane appeared on the Late Show with David Letterman to talk about all things ADDAMS. Yesterday, the First Family enjoyed MEMPHIS while Barack Obama was fighting to get the health care bill passed in Washington, DC and tonight, the rest of the Obama clan again enjoyed a Broadway show with Michelle Obama, her mother Marian Robinson and daughters Malia and Sasha along with some friends seeing THE ADDAMS FAMILY according to multiple audience reports. Deadline.com is reporting that Tim Burton has his eye on The Addams Family for his next animated 3D project, following the success of Alice In Wonderland, now playing.
