Actress Barbara Barrie is sharing her story as an Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF) patient by speaking out for the first time about her diagnosis with the incurable lung disease.

Today we are shining a light on this week's Fathom Events presentation of the new West End revival of Tennessee Williams's classic drama A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE starring Gillian Anderson and Ben Foster.

American Conservatory Theater, in association with The Commonwealth Club of Northern California, will present John Lahr in Conversation with Carey Perloff on the occasion of the release of his newest biography, "TENNESSEE WILLIAMS: Mad Pilgrimage of the Flesh" on Monday, October 6 at 7 p.m. at A.C.T.'s Geary Theater (415 Geary Street, San Francisco).

The production is the fastest-selling in the history of London's Young Vic Theatre. That's a tribute to its star, Gillian Anderson (from television's X-Files) and to the new generation that's discovering Tennessee Williams' masterpiece, A Streetcar Named Desire. The production will be broadcast on the big screen at Town Hall Theater on Friday, September 26.

Carly Bawden, Simon Lipkin, Mike McShane, Andy Nyman, David Roberts and Catherine Tate have been cast in Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's ASSASSINS, directed by Jamie Lloyd, at the Menier Chocolate Factory from 21st November 2014 - 7th March 2015. Gillian Anderson and Ben Foster sat down with The Telegraph to discuss their upcoming roles in the Young Vic's A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams. Anderson will be playing Southern belle Blanche DuBois and Foster will be playing her brother-in-law Stanley Kowalski. Set in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Streetcar follows the tension between the two. The production opens July 23 and runs through September 6.
