The world premiere of A LASTING IMPRESSION, a new musical by Zoe Sarnak, is set to be presented at New York Theatre Workshop's 4th Street Theatre in a weeklong showcase beginning August 21st, 2012.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) presents a staged reading of MY PERFECT PET. Marlo Hunter, Founder & Artistic Director of Eating Their Words, will direct a cast that includes Ethan Haberfield (Mary Poppins), Rebecca Lynn Goldfarb (Godspell 2032), David Foley, Jr. (Shrek, National Tour), Caroline Cahill, and Adrienne Asterita in a staged reading of the new family musical MY PERFECT PET. Daniel Feyer (Arnie the Doughnut) serves as music director, with stage management by Lauren Wong and general management by Gretchen Margaroli. Performances are July 27th at 4:30 p.m. and July 28th at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. as part of the 2012 New York Musical Theatre Festival.

BARELY LEGAL, a night of new music and budding talent, will take place on Monday, July 23rd at Le Poisson Rouge at 158 Bleecker Street, New York, NY . MAC Award nominated songwriters Sam Carner & Derek Gregor (Unlock'd) and Drew Fornarola (COLLEGE The Musical) team up for AWKWARD THREESOME: Carner & Gregor and also Fornarola at The Duplex Thursday, June 28 at 9:30pm. They will be joined by some of Broadway's top young performers. The songwriters will present selections from their shows, as well as debuting a new song co-written by all three of them. The evening will be directed by Marlo Hunter with music direction by Gregor and Emily Whitaker. Scheduled to perform are Claybourne Elder (Bonnie and Clyde); Ali Ewoldt (Les Miserables); Alyssa Fox (Wicked - SF); Julie Reiber (Wicked); A.J. Shively (La Cage Aux Folles); Brian Sills (The Lion King Tour); Sarah Stiles (Avenue Q); and Dashaun Young (The Lion King).

Carner & Gregor's BARELY LEGAL SHOWTUNE EXTRAVAGANZA III is set for July 25th, and they're having a contest to find five college singers to perform in the show.

Hosted by Hair's Andrew Kober and Avenue Q's Sarah Stiles, the event will bring together nine of the most-talented musical theatre students currently studying at schools across the U.S. The concert will take place at the new East Village venue DROM (85 Avenue A between 5th & 6th Streets).
