Thea Sharrock's production of new musical The Bodyguard, opened on 5 December 2012 at the Adelphi Theatre in London to great reviews and is aiming for Broadway in spring of 2014. The musical's official theatrical trailer has just been released. Check it out below!

Today, in the New York Post, Michael Riedel reports that the show, whose producers include the Nederlander Organization, is aiming for Broadway in the Spring of 2014.

From 4 February 2013 a new cast will perform in Nicholas Hytner's five star West End production of One Man, Two Guvnors. As previously announced, Rufus Hound will take the lead as loveable chancer Francis Henshall. He will join new cast members Sam Alexander, Ian Burfield, Amy Cudden, Harry Kershaw, Kelly Price and Hugh Sachs. Martin Barrass will return to the production to play Alfie, and current cast members David Benson, Rhona Croker and Derek Elroy will continue. Mensah Bediako, Owen Brazendale, Gillian Budd, Max Hutchinson, Tom Lorcan, Aimee Parkes and Claire Sundin complete the ensemble.

Heather Headley stars in The Bodyguard musical, opening today, November 6 at the Adelphi Theatre in London. She will play Rachel Marron, a role originated by Whitney Houston on the silver screen. Lloyd Owen plays alongside Headley as a former Secret Service agent-turned bodyguard, hired to protect Rachel from a stalker.

Legally Blonde's Sheridan Smith will star in the Old Vic's production of HEDDA GABLER by Henrik Ibsen, in a version by Brian Friel directed by Anna Mackmin. Bob Boyett and the National Theatre of Great Britain announceD today that their acclaimed Broadway production of ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS recouped its $3.25 million capitalization, during the week ending August 19, 2012. ONE MAN, TWO GUVNORS began previews on April 6 and opened officially on April 18, 2012. The production is playing a strict limited engagement at the Music Box Theatre through September 2, 2012 only.
