Nominations Announced for the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards

Nominees for the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards for outstanding performances in 2011 in five film and eight primetime television categories and for the SAG honors for outstanding action performances by film and television stunt ensembles were announced this morning in Los Angeles at the Pacific Design Center's SilverScreen Theater in West Hollywood.

Joan Kane Directs Pizza Man at Bridge Theatre, 1/18-1/29

Following their successful, off Broadway productions of Aliens with Extraordinary Skills by Saviana Stanescu at Theater 54 and Play Nice! at 59e59 Theaters, Ego Actus has announced their next production, Pizza Man by Darlene Craviotto. Pizza Man will be directed by Joan Kane, one of nytheatre.com's 2011 People of the Year in indie theatre. Joan has also recently directed in Lower East Side Festival, the Midtown International Festival, and the Planet Connections Festivity (Award for Best Direction).

John Corbett to Star in A SMILE AS BIG AS THE MOON on ABC, 1/29

John Corbett ('Sex and the City,' the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie 'November Christmas') stars in the inspiring story of a high school football coach and special-education teacher who worked to achieve an impossible dream - to take a class of special-education students to NASA's Space Camp -- in the new Hallmark Hall of Fame film, A SMILE AS BIG AS THE MOON, premiering Sunday, January 29 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

During the 7 o'clock hour opposite CBS' huge 1-hour NFL overrun, ABC's America's Funniest Home Videos was up over its most recent telecast two weeks ago, achieving season highs with viewers and young adults.
