Mark Goucher is joining forces with first time producer Jason Donovan to create a brand new production of the much-loved glittering hit musical Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. The show makes a perfect vehicle for Donovan to begin his life as a producer, having performed in the cast of the original West End production and two subsequent UK tours. The producing team will be completed by Gavin Kalin and Matthew Gale.

Mark Goucher, Chief Executive of the Cheltenham Everyman Theatre and owner of Mark Goucher Productions Ltd, has today announced the launch of a new theatrical investment fund. Spearheaded by Mark, and some present and past board members of the Cheltenham Everyman Theatre, the Cheltenham Theatre Investment Fund will be an important new player in the world of theatrical investors. Following a very successful first raise the fund is now operational and will continue to accept investment to top up to its half a million-pound target. The fund intends to take investment in commercial touring productions of plays and musicals and also in new West End productions.

Antic Face and Nik Holttum Productions today announce casting for the UK premi re of award-winning American playwright Jen Silverman's play Collective Rage: A Play in Five Betties. Nina Wadia (Betty 4) and Sara Stewart (Betty 1) lead the all-female company, directed by Charlie Parham, along with Lucy McCormick (Betty 2), Beatriz Romilly (Betty 3) and Genesis Lynea (Betty 5). Collective Rage opens in the Large at Southwark Playhouse on 29 January, with previews from 24 January and runs until 17 February.
