NBC's promising new competition series 'The Voice' (working title) announces open auditions in cities across America beginning January 14, 2011. As previously announced, NBC has teamed up with hit-making reality show pioneers John de Mol, Mark Burnett and Warner Horizon Television to bring Holland's top-rated vocal talent discovery show, 'The Voice of Holland,' to America in Spring 2011.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, NBC is launching it's own version of television hit AMERICAN IDOL. The project will be headed by Mark Burnett and John de Mol and is set to be tited: THE VOICE OF AMERICA.

The back-to-basics 10th season of NBC's 'The Apprentice' came to a nail biting conclusion last night. This past season, Donald Trump put 16 candidates hit hard by the economic times through the ringer...and only one of these candidates came out the victor. Last night, Donald Trump revealed that Brandy Kuentzel, an unemployed lawyer from San Francisco, won the coveted title of 'The Apprentice'.

Dick Button, the man known as the 'Voice' of figure skating, Johnny Weir, an Olympian who, at age 26, is the skating world's most unpredictable star, and Laurieann Gibson, the creative visionary behind Lady GaGa's choreography, will serve as the judges for ABC's highly anticipated new series, 'Skating with the Stars,' from BBC Worldwide Productions. Weir, Button and Gibson will make their debut as judges on the series' premiere, MONDAY, NOVEMBER 22 (9:11-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

The nominees for the PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2011 were announced this morning by Malin Akerman ('27 Dresses,' 'Watchmen'), Michael Chiklis, ('No Ordinary Family'), Zachary Levi ('Chuck'), AnnaLynne McCord ('90210'), Jeff Probst ('Survivor') and Audrina Patridge ('The Hills'), along with host Queen Latifah and Executive Producer Mark Burnett at The London West Hollywood Hotel. Prior to the announcement, over 35 million votes were cast by fans across the country. Fans were invited to pick new categories and determine the nominees for the annual awards show that celebrates fan favorites in movies, music and television.

Emmy Award-winning TV personality Nancy O'Dell will stay up late to host the biggest celebration of the year and ring in 2011 on NEW YEAR'S EVE LIVE airing Friday, Dec. 31 (11:00 PM-12:30 AM ET live; CT/MT/PT tape-delayed) on FOX.

Voting has begun at www.PeoplesChoice.com to determine the nominees for PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS 2011, the only major awards show where fans - not industry insiders - completely determine the nominees and winners across categories of music, movies and television. Starting today, fans can vote on 40 categories, including Favorite Country Artist, Favorite Action Movie and Favorite TV Comedy. The ABC Television Network has ordered eight additional episodes of the critically-acclaimed series 'Shark Tank,' the reality series that gives budding entrepreneurs a chance to make their dreams come true and become successful -- and possibly wealthy -- business people. The aspiring entrepreneurs must first try to convince five tough, multi-millionaire tycoons to part with their own hard-earned cash and give them the funding they need to jumpstart their business ideas.

According to aceshowbiz.com, Cyndi Lauper has teamed up with Survivor producer Mark Burnett to create a reality show centered on her life in New York City. The show would also feature her husband of 19 years, actor David Thornton and their 12 year-old son, Declyn. Lauper was last seen on TV in this season's Celebrity Apprentice.

HGTV's top-rated reality competition, HGTV Design Star, will return for a fifth season beginning Sunday, June 13, at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Shot in New York City, the series will feature 12 creative finalists as they audition for their own show on HGTV. The finalists include Courtland Bascon, Los Angeles; Stacey Cohen, Chicago; Dan Faires, New York City; Nina Ferrer, New York City; Tera Hampton, Austin, Texas; Emily Henderson, Los Angeles; Trent Hultgren, Venice, Calif.; Julie Khuu, Santa Ana, Calif.; Michael Moeller, New York City; Casey Noble, Redondo Beach, Calif.; Alex Sanchez, Upper Marlboro, Md.; and Tom Vecchione, New York City.
