Kendal-Crosslands Communities Celebrate Five Year Intergenerational Partnership with The Chester Charter School for the Arts

In 2012, residents of Kendal at Longwood, a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community, joined Dr. John Alston, then a music professor at Swarthmore College, and Chester city educators and advocates to create an educational start-up for the children of Chester. Five years later, Kendal residents and Chester families and teachers are celebrating the success of their partnership and their school, now known as The Chester Charter School for the Arts (CCSA). CCSA is a public non-profit arts-integrated charter school serving students in the predominantly African American city of Chester, one of the poorest cities in America.

Greenhouse Theater Center Presents SQUEEZE MY CANS

Due to popular demand, Greenhouse Theater Center is pleased to announce the return of Cathy Schenkelberg's hit one-woman show SQUEEZE MY CANS, directed by Shirley Anderson, playing February 16 - March 12, 2017 at 2016 at The Greenhouse Theater Center (Upstairs Mainstage), 2257 N. Schenkelberg's evocative and humorous account of life as a Scientologist returns for a full run following a limited engagement last summer during the Greenhouse's popular Solo Celebration! Brooklyn Museum Announces Public Program For March

The Brooklyn Museum will present a variety of programs for adults, teens, and kids in March. Public programs include talks, performances, and hands-on workshops for children and adults that amplify the Museum's exhibitions and permanent collection, serve its diverse public, and support learning through the visual arts.
