Cast Announced for Steppenwolf's THE FUNDAMENTALS

Steppenwolf Theatre Company announced today the complete cast for Erika Sheffer's The Fundamentals, a smart and searing look at America's corporate culture through the story of a Manhattan hotel maid with higher aspirations. Directed by ensemble member Yasen Peyankov, the cast features ensemble members Alana Arenas (Millie), Caroline Neff (Stellan) and Alan Wilder (Abe) with Audrey Francis(Eliza) and Armando Riesco (Lorenzo). Peyankov and Sheffer last collaborated on Steppenwolf's 2014 Chicago premiere of Russian Transport, which also featured ensemble member Alan Wilder. Previews begin November 10, 2016 and the show runs through December 23, 2016 in Steppenwolf's Upstairs Theatre, 1650 N Halsted.Single tickets ($20 - $89) go on sale Friday, August 5 at 11am. 2016/17 season subscriptions and memberships are currently on sale through Audience Services at 312-335-1650 or steppenwolf.org.

Chester Theatre Company and WAM Theatre Partner for Free Reading

Chester Theatre Company and WAM Theatre are pleased to announce they will be partnering for a free reading of Lauren Gunderson's smart, sly play The Revolutionists, directed by WAM Artistic Director Kristen van Ginhoven. The reading will take place Thursday, July 28 at 2 p.m. in the intimate setting of Chester's Historic Town Hall, 15 Middlefield Road in Chester, MA. There will be a talkback following the reading. 

Playwright Johnna Adams to Discuss and Sign Her New Play at The Drama Book Shop

The Drama Book Shop is pleased to welcome playwright Johnna Adams for a discussion and signing of her new play Lickspittles, Buttonholers and Damned Pernicious Go-Betweens on Friday, July 29th at 5:00pm. The event is free to the public. Copies of Ms. Adams' play will be available for purchase.

HAND TO GOD Opens at Phoenix Theatre Today

Phoenix Theatre of Indianapolis opens the Regional Premiere of HAND TO GOD today, June 16, 2016 on the Livia and Steve Russell Stage. This production runs through July 17, with Mark Routhier serving as director. Phoenix Theatre will produce the first U.S. production outside New York.

Drama Book Shop to Livestream Conversation with INDECENT's Paula Vogel & Rebecca Taichman

The Drama Book Shop, now celebrating its 99th year, will welcome playwright Paula Vogel and director Rebecca Taichman, the creative forces behind Indecent, for a discussion about the play. The event will take place on Friday, June 10th at 5:00PM. It is free to the public. For those unable to attend, the Tony Award-winning Drama Book Shop will live-stream the conversation on their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/dramabookshop) and on their Periscope channel @dramabookshop.

Phoenix Theatre to Host Conversation with Broadway Producer Bradley Reynolds

Phoenix Theatre of Indianapolis will be hosting a fascinating community conversation featuring Bradley Reynolds, Producer of the Broadway smash Hand to God, and Bryan Fonseca, Producing Director of the Phoenix Theatre.  This unique event will reveal the methods and effort required to produce a hit Broadway show, the process of recapturing that success regionally, and the remarkable journey from one venue to the other. This community conversation will take place directly following the performance of Hand to God on Sunday, June 26, 2016, on the Livia and Steve Russell Stage. The community conversation is free of charge.

Andrea McArdle & Sally Struthers Will Star in Ogunquit Playhouse's ANYTHING GOES

The Ogunquit Playhouse sets sail with the delightful, Tony Award-winning Anything Goes June 15 to July 9. This splendid madcap musical comedy stars Broadway's Andrea McArdle as Reno Sweeney and features two-time Emmy Award winner Sally Struthers as Evangeline Harcourt. The pair are currently leading ANYTHING GOES at Gateway Performing Arts Center.

Anthony unexpectedly appears in his classmate's room to seek her help in completing a project, the night before it is due. Through an emotionally tumultuous journey, they delve into the mysteries of Walt Whitman's "Leaves of Grass", unaware that something deeper has brought them together. I AND YOU won the 2014 ATCA/Steinberg New Play Award and was a Susan Smith Blackburn Prize finalist. The play, directed by Seth Gordon and starring Melissa Molano and Mateo Mpindzi-Mott, is making its regional premiere at Stages Repertory Theatre and will close May 22.
