The Stratford Festival is welcoming audiences back to the Studio Theatre as performances begin for director ted witzel's production of Every Little Nookie.

The Schimmel Center presents American Dance Spectacular! on Saturday, October 21 at 7:30 p.m., exploring the history of American popular dance throughout the 20th century, including the Charleston, Lindy hop, jitterbug, twist, voguing, and more. The performance is directed, co-written and created by Daniel C. Levine (Broadway's Les Mis rables, Chicago, and Mamma Mia!) with choreography by Al Blackstone (Fox's So You Think You Can Dance), music direction by Bryan Perri (Broadway's Wicked and Next to Normal), and book by Susan Batten (Lifetime's Showing Roots) together with six Broadway dancers backed by three vocalists and a live band.

Critically acclaimed Broadway and cabaret star, Christine Andreas, returns to The Pheasantry with her show 'Here's to the Ladies', written in collaboration with composer Martin Silvestri. The show is a tribute to the great ladies of the theatre, as she interprets classics from Funny Girl, South Pacific, Showboat, The King and I, Mame and many more. With her thrilling voice and startling grasp of character, the golden age of musicals is brought back to vibrant life.

Brick Road Theatre is proud to produce The Light in the Piazza this October. This is only the second time the musical has been produced in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Written by Adam Guettel, the grandson of Richard Rodgers (one-half of Rodgers and Hammerstein), the show centers around a vacation love story and the challenges that come from it.

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced details for the second annual WOMEN IN THEATRE series. The event is presented under the auspices of Women of WaterTower Theatre (WOW!) and it is co-chaired by Karol Omlor and Andrea Redmon. This is the second lecture in the series (the first was held last year and featured female directors), and it will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm (with a post-lecture reception in the lobby with the artists). The event will be held in the Main Space at WaterTower Theatre. The lecture will be moderated by the Dallas Observer's Arts and Culture Editor Lauren Smart, and features Pam Dougherty, Jenny Ledel, Denise Lee, Sarah Elizabeth Smith and Wendy Welch.
