STAGE TUBE: A Touching Tribute to Broadway Casting Director Barry Moss

Broadway, film and television casting director Barry Moss passed away in Manhattan on June 17, 2014. He was 74. A video tribute, created by Denise Pence and 'Broadway: The Golden Age' film trilogy filmmaker Rick McKay, honored the legendary casting director at a Memorial Tribute held in Moss's honor in New York City today, September 29th. The 12-minute video tribute includes an interview with 50-year friend John Rubinstein, who is on the road in the new PIPPIN and could not attend, and some rare footage of Lucie Arnaz performing 'They're Playing Our Song,' both shot by McKay. Single tickets are on sale tomorrow at noon for Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming Broadway productions of Constellations, the acclaimed new play by Nick Payne, directed by Michael Longhurst, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Steppenwolf Theatre Company's production of Airline Highway, the new play by Lisa D'Amour, directed by Joe Mantello.

PHILADELPHIA, HERE I COME! to Play T.Schreiber Theatre, 10/15-11/22

A young man looks toward the future even as he finds himself remembering the past in Brian Friel's comedic drama Philadelphia, Here I Come!, presented by T. Schreiber Theatre at 151 West 26th Street on the 7th floor. Directed by Jake Turner, Philadelphia, Here I Come! will run from October 15 through November 22 with performances Wednesday-Saturday at 8pm.

PigPen Theatre Co.'s THE OLD MAN AND THE OLD MOON Plays the New Vic, Now thru 10/13

For the final tour of The Old Man and The Old Moon, the endlessly imaginative PigPen Theatre Co. brings their folk-rock fable to The New Victory Theater from today, September 26 - October 13, 2014. This three-week, Off-Broadway run will be the last chance to see the company perform this celebrated work in New York.

Tickets to Broadway-Bound AIRLINE HIGHWAY at Steppenwolf on Sale Tomorrow

Steppenwolf Theatre Company continues its 2014/15 subscription season with the world premiere production of Airline Highway, written by Lisa D'Amour (Detroit) and directed by Joe Mantello (The Last Ship, Casa Valentina, Wicked). Steppenwolf's production will open on Broadway at Manhattan Theatre Club (MTC)'s Samuel J. Friedman Theatre following its world premiere engagement in Chicago.

THE UNCANNY VALLEY to Play The Brick, 10/8-19

After a successful premiere in The Brick's 2014 Game Play Festival THE UNCANNY VALLEY, written and directed by Francesca Talenti will return to The Brick Theater (579 Metropolitan Avenue, Brooklyn) for a limited two-week run October 8-19. The production will feature a RoboThespian actor along with human actors Katja Hill and Alphonse Nicholson (Dominique Morisseau's Autumn's Harvest at Lincoln Center Theater). The creative team will include Puppeteer/Robot Manager Jim Bulluck, Software Designer Adrian Ilie, Robo Explorer Henry Fuchs, Set Designer David Navalinsky, Lighting Designer Kathy A. Perkins (Daniel Sullivan's In Real Life with Manhattan Theatre Club), and Stage Manager Alex James.

Westport Country Playhouse to Present INTIMATE APPAREL, 10/7-11/1

Westport Country Playhouse will stage Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage's 'Intimate Apparel,' a love story that confronts race and religion, directed by Mary B. Robinson, from October 7 through November 1. 'Intimate Apparel' is the recipient of the American Theatre Critics and New York Drama Critics' Circle Awards for Best Play.

TCG Sets Fox Foundation Resident Actor Fellowships 9th Round Recipients

The William & Eva Fox Foundation and Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, have announced the ninth round of Fox Foundation Resident Actor Fellowships recipients. The program is designed to support actors' professional and artistic development, to enrich relationships between actors and nonprofit theatres and to ensure continued professional commitment to live theatre. Funded by the Fox Foundation and administered by TCG, the fellowship is one of only a few programs of its kind for actors in the country.

Robert Stanton and Phillipa Soo Star in Two River Theater's THE SCHOOL FOR WIVES, Beginning Tonight

Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, presents Moliere's classic comedy The School for Wives, translated into English verse by Richard Wilbur and directed by Mark Wing-Davey. Performances will begin in Two River's Rechnitz Theater, 21 Bridge Avenue, today, September 13 and continue through Sunday, October 5. The opening night performance is Friday, September 19 at 8pm.

SUBMISSIONS ONLY's Kate Wetherhead Stars in THE HEIDI CHRONICLES, Beginning Tonight at the Guthrie

The Guthrie Theater presents the first production on the Wurtele Thrust Stage in the 2014-2015 season, Wendy Wasserstein's Pulitzer Prize-winning play The Heidi Chronicles. Under the direction of 2014 Tony Award nominee Leigh Silverman (Broadway's Violet, Chinglish, Well), The Heidi Chronicles will feature the talents of Kate Wetherhead, Ben Graney, Tracey Maloney and Zach Shaffer, as well as Sam Bardwell, Eleonore Dendy, Mo Perry and Stacia Rice.
