I don't want to oversell it, but was this the best episode of SHAMELESS yet? My goodness with these performances. I'm so grateful William H. Macy was finally given a SAG award for his performance. The rest of this cast needs to be acknowledged as well.
Mother Road Theatre Company Presents AMERICAN BUFFALO, Now thru 3/1
by BWW News Desk
- Feb 13, 2015
Mother Road Theatre Company presents the modern masterpiece AMERICAN BUFFALO. During one long day in a run-down junk shop, three men of great ambition and low morals plan a heist of a customer's valuable coin collection. When the con goes awry, it's every man for himself. This fast paced drama is all aggression and testosterone, with characters wielding words like weapons to intimidate, cajole and manipulate each other. The results are hilarious, powerful and ultimately tragic in a play that won the 1976 Obie Award for Best New Play, the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Play and was nominated for two Tony Awards.
BWW Reviews: ANNIE Finds a Home at Saenger
by Tara Bennett
- Feb 10, 2015
It's funny how some things never grow old. While a rendition of "Tomorrow" won't stop the presses, it still provokes heart melting awes, especially if it is sung by a plucky orphan girl. Perhaps this is why the Saenger Theatre saw great success with their production of "Annie," as part of their Nola Broadway series.
