This week Theater Talk focuses on on 'Sweat,' Lynn Nottage's Pulitzer Prize-winning/TONY-nominated play about the lives of factory workers in Reading, Pennsylvania as their lives are devastated by dehumanizing corporate decisions, following the enactment of NAFTA. Guests include playwright Nottage, the play's director Kate Whoriskey and two members of its company, TONY-nominated actors Johanna Day and Michelle Wilson.

Written, directed, and composed by Ayvaunn Penn, the gospel and jazz infused musical Zarephath is a dance-filled ensemble piece created under the tutelage of Pulitzer Prize Winner Lynn Nottage & Tony Award Winner David Henry Hwang.

The NEW JERSEY ONE-MINUTE PLAY FESTIVAL (#1MPF) returns to for its seventh year, beginning a new and exciting partnership with Mile Square Theatre. The marathon evening of one-minute plays by over 30 of New Jersey's established and emerging playwrights and directors plays three performances only, Saturday, June 24th at 8pm, and Sunday, June 25th at 3pm & 7pm, 1400 Clinton St, Hoboken, NJ 07030. Earlier today, playwright Paula Vogel took to Twitter to comment on theatre criticism regarding plays in the 2017 Broadway season.
