Directed and choreographed by Luis Salgado, (In The Heights, Rocky and currently in On Your Feet), Zuccotti Park, A Musical About the Human Side of economics opened this past Wednesday, August 17th as part of the 20 year anniversary of The New York International Fringe Festival.

This is Velasco's eleventh show taking care of Broadway's smallest stars.

Zuccotti Park, a musical about the human side of economics is in rehearsals for The New York International Fringe Festival that is celebrating its 20th Anniversary, August 12th - 28th, 2016.

Puerto Rican performer Ektor Rivera - winner of the Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony and Simon Fuller reality series 'Q'Viva! The Chosen' - recently made his Broadway debut as Emilio Estefan in ON YOUR FEET!, the new Broadway musical based on the life story of seven-time GRAMMY winning international superstar Gloria Estefan and her husband, 19-time GRAMMY winning producer-musician-entrepreneur Emilio Estefan. Rivera joins Theater World Award-winning Cuban-American actress Ana Villafañe as Gloria Estefan. BroadwayWorld has a first look at him in action below!

Rivera joins Theater World Award-winning Cuban-American actress Ana Villafañe, named one of The Hollywood Reporter's top Broadway Breakout Stars of the Year for her 'star-is-born, supernova debut' (Deadline) as Gloria Estefan.

Nederlander, Estefan Enterprises, Inc and Bernie Yuman are pleased to announce a new block of tickets has gone on-sale, now through April 2, 2017, for ON YOUR FEET!, the new Broadway musical based on the life story of seven-time GRAMMY® winning international superstar Gloria Estefan and her husband, 19-time GRAMMY® winning producer-musician-entrepreneur Emilio Estefan. ON YOUR FEET! opened on Broadway on Thursday, November 5, 2015, following preview performances which began on Monday, October 5, 2015, at the Marquis Theatre in New York City.  The musical is directed by two-time Tony Award® winner Jerry Mitchell (Kinky Boots, Hairspray) and choreographed by Olivier Award winner and Tony Award nominee Sergio Trujillo(Jersey Boys, Memphis) with an original book by Academy Award winner Alexander Dinelaris (Birdman, The Bodyguard Musical).

The 2016 Fred and Adele Astaire Awards gala was held just last night, May 16, to honor outstanding dance and choreography on Broadway, off-Broadway, and in film, at the NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts (566 LaGuardia Place). Signature Theatre presents the world premiere of DAPHNE'S DIVE, written by Pulitzer Prize winner Quiara Alegria Hudes (Water by the Spoonful, In the Heights) and directed by Thomas Kail (Hamilton, Fox's 'Grease: Live'). The production just opened in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues). For the first time, the Fred and Adele Astaire Awards have explored recognizing excellence in dance, movement, and choreography off-Broadway.
