Long-time SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE producer Lorne Michaels has confirmed to the publication that newcomer Cecily Strong will join Meyers for the much-heralded news-comedy segment, beginning with the premiere episode on Sept. 25.

On October 5, Miley Cyrus returns to SNL to pull double duty as host and musical guest. Cyrus' newest album, 'Bangerz' will be released October 8, featuring double-platinum lead single, 'We Can't Stop' as well as her brand new single 'Wrecking Ball.'
SNL enters its 39th season on September 28 with the Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning Tina Fey returning for her fourth appearance as host. Arcade Fire will also return for their fourth appearance as musical guest.

It stayed dead until 1983 when it was revived by S.I. Newhouse Jr., the chairman of Condé Nast. So tecnically speaking, the Vanity Fair we know today is 30 years old - but 100 sounds so much better! NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt elaborated on THE TONIGHT SHOW's transition from longtime host Jay Leno to current LATE NIGHT anchor Jimmy Fallon at the Television Critics Association press tour yesterday, July 27, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Greenblatt emphasized that he wants to keep Leno on NBC.
