Paper Mill Playhouse has announces casting for Lost in Yonkers. Directed by Michael Bloom, Lost in Yonkers will run at the Millburn theater from February 17 through March 14, 2010. Lost in Yonkers was selected by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts as part of the American Masterpieces Series in New Jersey. American Masterpieces is a program of the National Endowment for the Arts. Official opening is Sunday, February 21th at 7:00pm.

LA BETE w/ Hyde Pierce, Rylance & Lumley to Hit UK & Bway

David Hirson was born in New York City and was educated at Yale and Oxford. He is the author of two plays for the theatre, La Bête (1991) and Wrong Mountain (2000), both of which have been produced on Broadway. He has received numerous honours for his work, including the 1992 Laurence Olivier Award for Best Comedy. The original Broadway production of La Bête was nominated for five Tony awards in 1991. A collected edition of his plays is published by Grove Press. He is currently working on a new version of Die Fledermaus for the Metropolitan Opera.

Goodman Theatre Opens Double-bill Of HUGHIE/KRAPP'S LAST TAPE, 2/16

Goodman Artistic Director Robert Falls, acclaimed Canadian director Jennifer Tarver and celebrated star Brian Dennehy team up again for a Broadway-bound double bill, Hughie/Krapp's Last Tape; January 16- February 21, 2010 in the Goodman's Albert Ivar Theatre. Tickets are $25 - $83 and go on sale Friday, November 13 at GoodmanTheatre.org.

Lumley & Hyde Pierce to Team Up in LA BETE for West End & Bway Run

The Daily Mail is reporting that actor David Hyde Pierce will team up with British actress and comic Joanna Lumley for a revival of David Hirson's comedy drama 'La Bete'. Joining the duo will be Mark Rylance, currently starring in Jerusalem at the Apollo.
