Broadway Records President Van Dean, SiriusXM Radio Host Seth Rudetsky and Producer James Wesley launched the charitable initiative Broadway for Orlando with an all-star roster of theater artists recording the benefit single 'What the World Needs Now is Love,' at Avatar Studios. Created to honor the victims and those wounded in the Orlando shooting massacre at Pulse nightclub and aid the surrounding community, 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the song will benefit the LGBT Center of Central Florida. Liz Callaway to Headline Inaugural Cabaret at The 1919 Lounge

Tony-nominee and Emmy Award-winning artist Liz Callaway will star in the inaugural cabaret of the Empire Arts Center's new program, The 1919 Lounge. This Broadway legend is best known for her starring roles in Baby, Miss Saigon, and Cats, in addition to being the singing voice of Anya in the animated feature film Anastasia.

Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT) concludes its 56th season with the two-time Tony award-winning musical, American Idiot, directed and choreographed by Alex Perez, who returns to CCCT following his acclaimed Bay Area premiere production of The Addams Family, with music direction by Kevin Roland, who helmed CCCT's recent productions of The Secret Garden and The Sound of Music. American Idiot plays from June 10 through July 17; performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm at the theatre.

PS Classics to Release Bartram & Hill's THE THEORY OF RELATIVITY on 6/3

The Theory of Relativity, the new musical by the Drama Desk Award-nominated creators of Broadway's The Story of My Life, Neil Bartram and Brian Hill, will be released on disc by PS Classics on June 3. The album, recorded March 31 and April 1 at Avatar Studios in New York City, is produced by PS Classics staff engineer Bart Migal, who has produced over a dozen recordings for the label, including, most recently, Tony Yazbeck's debut solo album.
