Nancy Carroll Leads 'House of Games' Adaptation at the Almeida, 9/9

UK Daily Mail reports that Nancy Carroll, currently starring in the National Theatre's AFTER THE DANCE, will star in a stage adaptation of Mamet's 'House of Games' film at the Almeida Theatre. The production, reworked from Mamet's screenplay by Richard Bean, will begin performances September 9. Under Lindsay Posner's direction, Nancy Carroll will lead a cast featuring Trevor Cooper, Dermot Crowley, Amanda Drew, Peter de Jersey, Michael Landes, John Marquez, and Al Weaver.

Oscar Wilde's much loved play, An Ideal Husband returns to the West End for the first time in over 10 years. Directed by Lindsay Posner and starring Samantha Bond, Elliott Cowan, Alexander Hanson and Rachael Stirling, An Ideal Husband will open at the Vaudeville Theatre for previews from 4 November 2010.

Dominic West Back to the Stage in BUTLEY?

Michael Coveney for Whatsonstage.com is reporting that Dominic West, who was most recently seen in The Donmar Warehouse's Life is a Dream by Pedro Calderon de la Barca may be starring next in Simon Gray's Butley, directed by Lindsay Posner. West is known internationally for his role on the series The Wire.

The 2010 Olivier Awards will take place on 21 March 2010 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, with Spring Awakening, Enron, Jerusalem and A Little Night Music among the standouts of the season with the most nominations. The Laurence Olivier Awards were established in 1976 as The Society of West End Theatre Awards, and Lord Olivier agreed to have his name associated with them in 1984. RSC's TWELFTH NIGHT Transfers To West End

RSC Chief Associate Gregory Doran's production of Twelfth Night will transfer after its sell-out run at The Courtyard Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon to the West End in December with Richard Wilson in his RSC debut as Malvolio.

Stiles And Pullman To Spar In Mamet's OLEANNA On Broadway, Opens Tonight

As announced by Producer Jeffrey Finn, previews began onTuesday, September 29, 2009 for the first ever Broadway production of OLEANNA, the provocative drama by Pulitzer Prize winner David Mamet. Starring Bill Pullman and Julia Stiles and directed by Tony Award winner Doug Hughes (Doubt), the play is a gripping account of a power struggle between a male university professor and one of his female students. The Broadway production has an Opening Night set for tonight Sunday, October 11 at 6:30 PM at The Golden Theatre (252 West 45th Street).
