The Annenberg Theatre will present Upright Cabaret's RHYTHM OF THE NIGHT on April 27 at 8:00 pm. RHYTHM OF THE NIGHT is the third installment of Upright Cabaret's "American Icon" Series and will star Olivier Award-Winner Lesli Margherita, Lexi Lawson (Rent, In The Heights)) and Rogelio Douglas Jr. (In The Heights, The Little Mermaid)). This high energy, multi-media Cabaret celebrates the music of Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan and Santana and features pop favorites such as Livin' La Vida Loca, Shake Your Bon-Bon, Rhythm Is Gonna Get You, Anything for You, Smooth, Let It Shine, and more, performed live with the Upright Cabaret band!

Show At Barre will to present "Rogelio Douglas Jr. One Night Only" on May 1 at 8pm. He makes his mark as an actor, singer/songwriter, and dancer, moving between the worlds of television, theatre, dance and music. The concert will include special guest artist Brenna Whitaker and a mix of Douglas Jr.'s original music as well as covers by industry-leading artists including Gavin Degraw, Cee Lo Green, The White Stripes, Jason Mraz, Otis Redding, Joe Cocker and more.

Lin-Manuel Miranda, actor and Tony Award-winning creator and composer-lyricist of Broadway's In the Heights, will join Arturo O'Farrill's GRAMMY Award-winning ensemble, The Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra, for its 10th Anniversary season celebration, 'Música Nueva 5: Big Band Poetry Jam & Beyond.'

IN THE HEIGHTS, winner of four 2008 Tony Awards® and the 2008 Grammy® Award for Best Musical Show Album, is coming to the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts in San Jose from April 17-22, 2012. Ars Nova today announced Spring Into The Nova, a benefit to support emerging artists. The concert features the music of composers Tom Kitt (Pulitzer Prize-winner, Next to Normal), Dave Malloy (Obie Award-winner, Three Pianos), and The Spring Standards (SXSW 2012), as well as Ars Nova?s 2012 Composer-in-Residence Shaina Taub.

Lin-Manuel Miranda and his hip-hop/rap group, Freestyle Love Supreme, will perform at New York's Gramercy Theatre at 7:30 pm tonight, April 7. Miranda founded the group at Wesleyan University along with Bill Sherman, Anthony Veneziale, and Thomas Kail; others joined the group in New York. In performance, Freestyle Love Supreme uses words supplied by the audience in order to create new rap songs.
