CBS Announces Full Lineup & Recap for Kennedy Center Honors; Airing December 30

Eminent artist friends and peers of this year's six honorees converged in Washington, D.C. last night (Dec. 7) to present entertaining and heartfelt tributes at THE 31ST ANNUAL KENNEDY CENTER HONORS, an entertainment special to be broadcast Tuesday, Dec. 30 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, with Caroline Kennedy as host for the sixth consecutive year.

The Huffington Post reports that Barbra Streisand got an awkward kiss on the cheek from the president, and yes, she gave him a smooch back, Streisand, a vocal critic of President George W. Producer Robert Greenblatt announced today that 9 To 5: The Musical, based on the 20th Century Fox motion picture, will begin previews on Broadway Tuesday, March 24, 2009, and will open Thursday, April 23, 2009, at the Marriott Marquis Theatre (1535 Broadway). 9 To 5: The Musical marks the Broadway debut of seven-time Grammy Award winning singer, songwriter and musician Dolly Parton as composer and lyricist. The musical's book by Patricia Resnick is based on her original story and screenplay for the smash 1980 film comedy.

Pierce, Connick, Tomlin and More Added To Tony Presenters

Additional presenters for the 62nd Annual Antoniette Perry 'Tony' Awards were announced today. Gabriel Byrne, Julie Chen, Harry Connick, Jr., Laurence Fishburne, Mandy Patinkin, David Hyde Pierce, Lily Tomlin and John Waters will join the previously announced presenters in bestowing the Tony Awards to the winners in each of the 25 competitive categories at the June 15th ceremony.
