Paley Center to Livestream All Panels at PlayFest 2012

The Paley Center for Media announced today that it will partner with Livestream to offer live streaming of all panels at PaleyFest: Fall TV Preview Parties, September 5 - 11 at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills.

9 TO 5: THE MUSICAL Opens Playhouse Merced Season, 8/31

'9 to 5: The Musical," a musical comedy about three office workers who take revenge on their boss, begins a three-weekend run on the Playhouse Merced mainstage Friday, August 31 at 7:30 pm. "9 to 5: The Musical" marks the beginning of Playhouse Merced's nineteenth season in their downtown Merced location.

Two-time Emmy Award-winner Sally Struthers returns to the Ogunquit Playhouse for the premiere of Dolly Parton's 9 to 5 the Musical, tonight, August 22 through September 15. 9 to 5, the Musical is based on the hit movie about three office workers who plan to get even with their egotistical, lying and hypocritical boss. When their plan spins wildly out of control the situation becomes hilarious and the laughter is non-stop. The show features the blockbuster title song plus a jubilant score by multiple Grammy Award winner Dolly Parton that mixes Broadway and pop with Dolly's irresistible style. L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center Welcomes Valarie Pettiford in Concert, 9/16

The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center presents Valarie Pettiford (Tony-nominated star of Fosse, the feature film Jumping the Broom, ABC Family's Bunheads, HBO's Treme), who is releasing her second solo album, Velvet Sky, a collection of original lullabies this fall.To celebrate the release of her new album, Pettiford is performing a rare, one-night-only concert on Sunday, September 16, at the Center's beautiful Renberg Theatre. Her last solo concert in Los Angeles was in 2010.

The Colony Theatre presents the second production of its "Season of Premieres" with the West Coast Premiere Premiere of BLAME IT ON BECKETT, written by John Morogiello and directed by Andrew Barnicle. BLAME IT ON BECKETT opens tonight, Saturday, August 11 at 8:00pm and continues through Sunday, September 2 at The Colony Theatre, 555 North Third Street (at Cypress) adjacent to the Burbank Town Center.

L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center Presents Larry Blum's BLINK & YOU MIGHT MISS ME, 9/7

The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center announces a special, one-night-only performance of Larry Blum's enthralling solo show, Blink & You Might Miss Me, directed by Stan Zimmerman, at the Center's Village at Ed Gould Plaza in Hollywood. The Carol Channing - Harry Kullijian Foundation for The Arts, whose objective is to promote arts education through public awareness, community involvement and increased support of public schools, is sponsoring 'Voice Of the Valley' - a seven-week cabaret open mic competition. It begins today, July 17th and will culminate September 4th with a final sing-off when the winning singer is cast in 'A Magical Night On Broadway' at THE SHOW on September 8th with a list of Broadway's 'Who's Who' and hosted by JoAnne Worley.
