A MADCatfish has wiggled off his hook to leave his birthplace deep in the Mississippi Delta and is heading west to kick-off the Inaugural 1st Annual Southern California MADCatfish Blues Festival, a two-day fun-filled, power packed, foot-stomping, all-star musical extravaganza to be held at Santa Anita Park, 285 West Huntington Drive, Arcadia, CA 91007 on Labor Day Weekend, Today and Sunday, September 5 and 6, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

BRENDA LEE EAGER, the legendary American soul singer, songwriter and recording artist who is best known for her chart topping performances of pop songs like 'Ain't Understanding Mellow,' 'Close To You' and 'Somebody's Somebody,' has just been added to the lineup of Blues performers who will shake it up on Labor Day Weekend at the 1st Annual Southern California MADCatfish Blues Festival La Qu?tta M. Shamblee, Producer of the event announced today. 'Brenda Lee Eager will appear as a singer with the Yu Ooko Band on Saturday, September 5th as part of the two-day Blues Festival,' Shamblee said.

SummerWorks Performance Festival returns for its 24th year August 7 -17, 2014. This year's season is sure to thrill with exciting changes, a crop of new works and moments of intensity, self-discovery and much more waiting to be discovered. SummerWorks is excited to announce its new Hub at The Theatre Centre (1115 Queen St W), where they will host Live Art programming throughout the 2014 Festival, replacing last year's Performance Bar.
