In what will become a frenzied digital search by 1D fans, One Direction and Sony Pictures will unveil the official movie poster this week for their upcoming 3D film, ONE DIRECTION: THIS IS US. Emblem3 kick off their sold-out west coast tour dates this Wednesday, February 27 in Los Angeles at the Roxy. Overwhelming fan demand caused the tickets to sell out in under a minute, and the X Factor breakout band are pleased to announce that they will now be heading to the east coast for a run of dates. Now according to USA Today, Davis is eying LES MISERABLES star Anne Hathaway and Colin Firth to play Eliza Doolittle and Henry Higgins respectively. Firth has also starred in a big screen musical in the past, taking on Harry in 2008's MAMMA MIA. Neither actor, however, has yet starred in a Broadway production.
Michael Riedel reports that Simon Cowell is hard at work on THE X FACTOR MUSICAL, which just had an invitation only workshop in London last week, starring Alexander Hanson as the infamous reality show judge. The show, with a 16 million dollar budget is being co-produced by Cowell and Stage Entertainment, and features an original score by Steve Brown and a script by Harry Hill.
