The Talking Band presents the world-premiere production of OBSKENE -- a new play comprised of messenger speeches from classical Greek Tragedy and reports from the near future created by 8 playwrights including David Greenspan, Tina Shepard, Marcus Gardley and Deb Margolin -- with an official press opening set for Thursday, Nov. 8 at HERE (145 Ave. of the Americas, one block south of Spring). Soho Rep has announced its fall-winter 2012-13 mainstage productions on the heels of its twice-extended, immensely acclaimed world premiere of Chekhov's Uncle Vanya, adapted by Annie Baker and directed by Sam Gold. This fall and winter, the 13-time OBIE-winning theater will introduce New York audiences to two more highly anticipated new works, by artists whose careers Soho Rep has nurtured: Jackie Sibblies Drury's We Are Proud to Present a Presentation About the Herero of Namibia, Formerly Known as South West Africa, From the German Sudwestafrika, Between the Years 1884-1915, directed by Eric Ting; and Nature Theater of Oklahoma's epic musical serial, Life and Times: Episodes 1-4 a Soho Rep production presented by The Public Theater as a special engagement of the Under the Radar Festival 2013. Soho Rep's 2012/13 season is produced in association with John Adrian Selzer. (The theater will announce its spring production later this fall.)

Directed by David Herskovits, the cast features Clare Barron as Marina, Don Castro as Telegin, Rebecca Hart as Helena, Susan Hyon as Sonya, Mary Neufeld as Serebryakov, Edward O'Blenis as Astrov, Greig Sargeant as Vanya, and Yuri Skujins as Mme. Voynitskaya (who replaces previously announced Steven Rattazzi).

Performances begin today, April 26, 2012 for a limited engagement through Saturday, May 19 2012 at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue, entrance on Dominick Street, one block south of Spring). Opening Night is Monday, April 30, 2012.

Due to popular demand, Target Margin Theater (David Herskovits, Artistic Director) has added three performances to the final production of its 20th Anniversary Season, Shakespeare's classic tale, The Tempest. The added performances are: Saturday afternoon, May 21 at 4:00 p.m., and Saturday, May 28 at 4:00 p.m. & 8:30 p.m.

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater concludes its 16th season with the world premiere of Carson McCullers Talks About Love, a theater piece with music written and performed by Grammy Award-winning songwriter Suzanne Vega ("Tom's Diner," "Luka") with music by Ms. Vega and Tony Award-winner Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening).
