On November 9th, 2006, the opening night of Broadway's Les Miserables, BroadwayWorld introduced the artwork of Christine Jimenez. Recently, the talented artist created more caricatures and portraits of Les Miz stars in honor of the show's 25th Anniversary, and is one again pleased to share them with BWW readers.

Unrelenting Monkey Productions proudly presents 'Our Country,' a gay country western musical, as a special event of the 2010 New York Musical Theatre Festival.

The upcoming 25th Anniversary concert of Les Miserables, will be broadcast via satellite around the world. On October 3rd, O2 concert will be shown in movie theatres in Ireland, Denmark, Norway and Germany. As previously reported, the concert will star Ramin Karmiloo, Samantha Barks, Alfie Boe, Nick Jonas, Norm Lewis, Matt Lucas, Lea Salonga, Jenny Galloway, and Camilla Kerslake.

Producer Orin Wolf and Off the Aisle Productions have announced that It Must Be Him, a new comedy by Kenny Solms, co-creator and writer of the legendary, Emmy Award-winning 'Carol Burnett Show,' will premiere this summer at the Peter J. Sharp Theatre (416 West 42nd Street). Directed by Daniel Kutner, It Must Be Him began performances on Tuesday, August 24, and officially opened on Wednesday, September 1. The limited engagement ends Sunday, September 26.

The Ayala Foundation USA today announced that Filipino-American Broadway stars will be featured in a concert version of an original Filipino musical, Long Season, at its upcoming gala on September 25, 2010 at The Fairmont Hotel located at 170 South Market Street in San Jose, CA. The gala will be part of the first ever Philippine Development Forum & Gala to bring together Filipino and Filipino-American thought leaders from both sides of the Pacific to discuss solutions to the Philippine's most pressing development problems. AF-USA has invited no less than newly-elected Philippine President Noynoy Aquino as Keynote Speaker

Michelle Federer (Wicked's Original Broadway Nessarose) spent Sunday, September 19th, mentoring the young talent of Broadway's future as she led a Wicked-themed master class with Broadway Artists Alliance of New York City. Federer inspired, as she skillfully guided a master class in 'Song Interpretation' to a group of eager and talented young performers ages 10 to 21. Students also spent time on cold readings and scene study utilizing scenes from Wicked. Michelle's morning class was followed by an advanced audition technique workshop with a top casting representative from Telsey and Co. Casting.

Broadway-bound musical 'Allegiance' has just released a promotional video clip that shows Tony award-winning actress Lea Salonga ('Miss Saigon', 'Les Miserables') singing the musical's opening and closing song titled 'Second Chances'. Its beautiful and infectious melody, penned by the musical's composer and lyricist Jay Kuo ('World's Apart', 'Insignificant Others'), has been getting favorable first impressions.
