A new album of original music featuring some of the biggest names of Broadway and London's West End has been released today to raise money for BBC Children in Need.

Showband singers Arnel Arcedo and Tony Gado have been announced to join Original Philippine Music (OPM) icons Cecile Azarcon and Lorrie Ilustre, and multi-award winning band Sounds of Manila, in a one-night-only concert, featuring an all-OPM repertoire, at Symphony Space in Upper West Side Manhattan April 27.

Acclaimed multi-award-winning vocalist, actress and concert performer Lea Salonga has taken to social media to share her support of the new 2014 Broadway production of international hit mega-musical LES MISERABLES in a posting earlier this weekend.

Miss Saigon, currently booking for performances through to Saturday 25th October 2014, will make its highly anticipated return to the West End on Saturday 3 May 2014 at the Prince Edward Theatre, in the musical's 25th anniversary year. Rachelle Ann Go will be the new 'Gigi' in the show and she recently revealed in an interview with Hola! that she has original star Lea Salonga to thank for the role. Go told Hola!: 'It's Miss Lea (Salonga) who really told me to go for the audition. But before that, I got to watch Miss Saigon in Canada in 2010. When I watched it, I told myself, "One day, I will do that." So in 2012, there was an audition and my friends encouraged me, but I was afraid. But eventually, they persuaded me, so I tried it out here in Manila.'

The Broadway-aimed musical Allegiance, currently starring George Takei, Lea Salonga, and Telly Leung, has created a Priority Access Pass to give more theatregoers a chance to see the production. The show premiered at San Diego's The Old Globe in September 2012 and quickly sold out, leaving many fans without a chance to see the show at all. Happy Birthday, Lea Salonga! Salonga is best known for originating the lead role of Kim in the musical Miss Saigon, for which she won the Olivier, Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics and Theatre World awards. She was the first Asian to play the roles of Eponine and Fantine in the musical Les Miserables on Broadway. She also provided the singing voice of two official Disney Princesses: Jasmine in Aladdin (1992), and Fa Mulan in Mulan (1998).
