Silver Spring Stage presents Noel Coward's sophisticated comedy Private Lives, directed by Ty Hallmark and Stephanie Svec and produced by David Dubov and Jacy D'Aiutolo, where Elyot and Amanda, once married and now honeymooning with new spouses at the same hotel, meet by chance and reignite the old spark. Private Lives will perform weekends September 24 to October 10.

La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts is thrilled to announce it will be screening National Theatre Live's second season in high-definition at their beautiful theatre.

Whatsonstage.com is reporting that Michael Ball will perform in concert at the Prince of Wales Theatre on October 10, 2010. The concert will benefit The Shooting Stars Children's Hospice, which treats terminal illnesses in children in in West London and North Surrey. Additional guest stars for the concert will be announced shortly.

TheatreSquared will kick off the 2010/11 Fifth Anniversary Season with The 39 Steps, a live comedy thriller adapted by Patrick Barlow from Alfred Hitchcock's 1935 film and John Buchan's spy novel.

Westport Public Library is pleased to announce that The Malloy Lecture in the Arts will be held on Thursday, September 16, at 7:00 pm. The event will take place at Westport Country Playhouse (25 Powers Court, Westport). Entitled 'The Malloy Lecture in the Arts: Remembering Archie (Archibald MacLeish-The Poet and the Man), as told by Christopher Plummer,' the evening will feature Emmy and Tony award-winning actor Christopher Plummer, who will combine MacLeish's poetry with his personal reminiscences of the poet. In addition, Plummer will be interviewed by Westport Country Playhouse Artistic Advisor Anne Keefe about his own career and memoir, 'In Spite of Myself.'

Priscilla Queen Of The Desert The Musical, written by Stephan Elliott and Allan Scott and directed by Simon Phillips, will open on Broadway on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway). Previews will begin on Monday, February 28, 2011.

Disney's THE LION KING has been confirmed for an exclusive four-week premiere engagement at the Benjamin and Marion Schuster Performing Arts Center beginning Tuesday, June 14, with performances playing through Sunday, July 10, 2011.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Billy Crudup will be returning to Broadway in Arcadia, a show in which he made his Broadway debut back in 1995. The show is set to launch in February.

According to a report by Baz Bamigboye in UK Daily Mail, Eddie Redmayne has been chosen to star in an upcoming Marilyn Monroe movie, in which he will play Monroe's caretaker. He will join Michelle Williams who is set to play Monroe in My Week With Marilyn. Filming is set to begin in ten days.

Whoopi Goldberg will rejoin the cast of the hit musical comedy SISTER ACT in October to complete her run as Mother Superior. She will perform the role on the evening of Friday 22 October, at two shows on Saturday 23 October and at two shows on Monday 25 October. Whoopi's previous run, her West End debut, was a huge critical success and saw fans camping overnight at the box office and daily queues around the block at the London Palladium for tickets. During Whoopi's run Sister Act also broke the record for the highest weekly gross of any musical ever at the Palladium. She was unable to complete that run, which was to end on August 31, when she had to return to the USA due to a family emergency.
