Rehearsals begin for Arizona Theatre Company's world premiere production of Jeffrey Hatcher's Ten Chimneys this week in Genesee Depot, Wisconsin at Ten Chimneys, the historical former estate of Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne.

Casting has been announced for the Providence engagement of Disney's THE LION KING. Providence's most eagerly awaited stage production ever will leap onto the PPAC stage from Tuesday, February 1 to Sunday, February 20. The press opening night is Thursday, February 3 at 7:30 PM.

WICKED Sets New Box Office Record For London Theatres

WICKED, the smash hit musical, celebrated a new West End Box Office milestone last week (w/c 27 December 2010) grossing an incredible £1,002,885, the highest single-week gross in London theatre history.

Holden's Pregnancy Will Not Affect West End's SHREK

According to a report from What's On Stage, though SHREK star Amanda Holden has announced that she is currently six months pregnant, timing for the upcoming production will not be altered. The Britain's Got Talent Judge will will not take any time off after the birth of her second child, allowing her to attend every perfomance when the show begins previews in May. Rehearsal schedules are currently being changed to fit 'Princess Fiona's' new circumstances.

Chicago Shakespeare Announces Additional World's Stage Productions, Kicks Off 1/2011

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) announces today the addition of two World's Stage productions to its 2010/11 Season: the award-winning, CST-commissioned Funk It Up About Nothin' embarks on a tour of Australia, preceded by a limited return engagement Upstairs at Chicago Shakespeare in January 2011; and the National Theatre of Scotland's internationally-acclaimed production Black Watch is added to the CST World Stage Series, presented at Chicago's Broadway Armory from March 29 to April 10, 2011.

Count Dracula, the world's most famous vampire, returns to the New York stage in DRACULA by Hamilton Deane and John L. Balderston, based on the eponymous novel by Bram Stoker, began previews December 14, prior to its official press opening January 5 at the Little Shubert Theatre (442 West 42nd Street). Paul Alexander directs the new production.

Fisher, Kupferer, Lacke, & Pasquesi Lead GOD OF CARNAGE at Goodman in 2011

Casting is complete for the Chicago premiere of Yasmina Reza's triple Tony Award-winning God of Carnage. Director Rick Snyder directs a cast 'in which highly skilled stage performers take on roles that allow them to rip the stuffing out of one another, tear up the scenery, stomp on their own vanity and have the time of their lives' (The New York Times) including Mary Beth Fisher (Rock ‘n' Roll, The Seagull); Keith Kupferer (Passion Play, The Dark Night); Beth Lacke (Man From Nebraska, Frost/Nixon) and David Pasquesi (Sin, Romance). God of Carnage runs March 5 - April 10, 2011 in the Goodman's Albert Theatre. Photos and bio information for these artists are available in the Goodman Theatre Press Room. Rylance Brings JERUSALEM to Broadway; Previews Begin April 2 at the Music Box Theatre

Tony and Olivier Award winning star Mark Rylance (La Bête, Boeing-Boeing) will recreate his wildly acclaimed, multi award-winning performance as Johnny ‘Rooster' Byron on Broadway in the Royal Court Theatre production of Jez Butterworth's universally heralded new play, JERUSALEM. The production, directed by Ian Rickson, will also star Mackenzie Crook (The Seagull, 'The Office') as Ginger and most of the original Royal Court cast, with full casting to be announced at a later date. JERUSALEM will open on Broadway on April 21, 2011 at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street). Previews will begin on April 2, 2011. The production will play a limited 16-week engagement.

Theatre at the Center Presents SLEUTH, 2/17-3/20

Trickery and deceit take over in Anthony Shaffer's SLEUTH, which kicks off Theatre at the Center's 2011 season. This edge-of-your-seat mystery begins February 17 and runs through March 20 at 1040 Ridge Road, Munster, Indiana, with the press performance on February 20, 2011 at 7 p.m. The production, directed by William Pullinsi, stars Larry Yando and Lance Baker.
