Ravinia Music Director James Conlon leads a program with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and piano virtuoso Jean Yves Thibaudet at 8 p.m. tonight, Aug. 7, in all-French repertoire including Debussy's Two Nocturnes and La mer; and Ravel's Piano Concerto in G Major and Piano Concerto in D Major for the Left Hand. Thibaudet, who has appeared as a soloist with the world's greatest orchestras, was recently inducted into the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame. The concert also features a ticket and dining package for a special price of $75.
Asolo Repertory Theatre has announced the addition of My Brilliant Divorce to its 2012-2013 lineup. The one-woman comedy by Geraldine Aron will have its regional premiere at Asolo Rep from June 26-July 14 with preview performances June 23 & 25. My Brilliant Divorce will be directed by Asolo Rep Producing Artistic Director Michael Donald Edwards.
The musical WICKED will make a stop in Montreal this summer as part of its North American Tour. The show will play at Place des Arts from tonight, August 1st to the 26th.

Audience members got an extra surprise at after a recent regional production of LEGALLY BLONDE. The Youtube description reads: 'My friends are both actors for the local theatre group, and the show was Legally Blonde. Chris plays the UPS guy, and his girlfriend plays Paulette. Chris plays his part while proposing to his girlfriend by 'delivering a package' after the show ends. They get married in the show, and then engaged in real life!'

Ten Chimneys Foundation has announced the ten actors who will participate in the 2012 Lunt- Fontanne Fellowship Program, a widely acclaimed national program to serve the future of American theatre. Today, July 22-July 29, the Lunt-Fontanne Fellows will join Broadway legend Joel Grey for an intensive, weeklong master class and immersion experience at Ten Chimneys, the National Historic Landmark estate of Broadway legends Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne in Genesee Depot, Wisconsin.

The Broadway production of Tennessee Williams' A Streetcar Named Desire was awarded the Extraordinary Excellence in Diversity on Broadway Award for the 2011-2012 Season from Actors' Equity Association (AEA) on Tuesday. The show, produced by Front Row Productions (Stephen Byrd, Alia Jones-Harvey), received the honor at a presentation at Equity headquarters. Christine Toy Johnson and Julia Breanetta Simpson (AEA Co-chairs Eastern Regional Equal Employment Opportunity Committee) presented the award, which turns the spotlight onto those doing exemplary work to promote the goals of diversity, inclusion and equal opportunity in theatre.

A celebration of the life of John Neville will be held in Stratford today, July 15. Mr. Neville, who was Artistic Director of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival from 1986 to 1989, died on November 19. He was 86.
