The sisters' memories - recalled as they are in all their inaccuracies, almost interact with each other, and show that despite synchronicities of time and place the people involved in the incidents of the past cannot agree on the facts of a unified experience.

Directed by actor and former drama teacher Hal Johnstone, Barnum is a musical based on the life of showman P. T. Barnum, the Prince of Humbug! The production combines elements of musical theater with the spectacle of a circus.

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST), Benito Juarez Community Academy and Latinos Progresando previously announced a joint partnership to present a concert version of In the Heights at Juarez Performing Arts Center in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood tonight, April 8 at 7 p.m.

Broadway's powerful new production of Shakespeare's Macbeth, starring Tony and Olivier Award winner and two-time Emmy Award nominee Alan Cumming (Cabaret, 'The Good Wife'), begins on Broadway tonight, April 7, 2013. Veteran stage actors Jenny Sterlin and Brendan Titley complete the cast.

The Burial is a new play written by award-winning playwright Bola Agbaje, which will run at the Albany Thursday 2-Saturday 11 May with a cast including Kemi-Bo Jacobs, Karlina Grace, Pamela Okoroafor and Tunji Lucas.

Daniel Craig, Rachel Weisz,and Rafe Spall will star on Broadway in Harold Pinter's BETRAYAL, directed by ten-time Tony Award-winner Mike Nichols. BETRAYAL will begin performances on Tuesday, October 1 at the Barrymore Theatre (243 West 47th Street). Opening night is Sunday, November 3. BETRAYAL is a strictly limited engagement, running 14 weeks only, through January 5, 2014.

The Maverick Theater presents the Orange County premiere of Legally Blonde: The Musical, based on Amanda Brown's novel and the 2001 film starring Reese Witherspoon. The musical stage version premiered in San Francisco in 2007 before transferring to Broadway, where it ran for more than 600 performances. It has repeatedly toured throughout the U.S. and played for nearly three years on London's West End, where it was awarded the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Musical in 2011.

13 year-old Joshua-James Thomas from Harrow and 12 year-old Michael Matias from Leystonstone this month join the cast of the West End hit musical The Bodyguard as the show enters its new booking period. Performing alongside Tony and Grammy Award winner Heather Headley and Lloyd Owen who lead the cast as Rachel Marron and Frank Farmer respectively, Thomas and Matias take on the role of Fletcher, Rachel's young son. They will alternate the role with original cast members 11 year-old Taylor Lockhart and 10 year-old Malaki Paul.

Northern Broadsides and St. James Theatre have announced that the critically acclaimed production of Githa Sowerby's Rutherford & Son, directed by Jonathan Miller, is to transfer to the newly opened St. James Theatre, playing from Tuesday 4 June to Saturday June 29, with a press performance on Wednesday 5 June 2013.

Court Theatre has announced its 2013/14 season under the continuing leadership of Artistic Director Charles Newell, Executive Director Stephen J. Albert, and Board Chair Marilyn Fatt Vitale. The company's 59th season will feature the Chicago Premiere of Katori Hall's The Mountaintop, directed by Resident Artist Ron OJ Parson; the reprise of Denis O'Hare and Lisa Peterson's An Iliad directed by Artistic Director Charles Newell and featuring Timothy Edward Kane; August Wilson's Seven Guitars directed by Ron OJ Parson; and Quiara Alegria Hudes' Water by the Spoonful, directed by Henry Godinez in his Court Theatre debut. Newell will close the season with David Henry Hwang's Tony Award-winning M. Butterfly.

Arizona Theatre Company (ATC) closes its 2012-2013 season with the eagerly anticipated Arizona premiere of Bruce Norris' multi-award-winning, provocative new comedy, "Clybourne Park." Performances will be held at The Herberger Theater Center in downtown Phoenix May 2 through May 19, 2013. ATC season sponsors are I. Michael and Beth Kasser. The Film Society of Lincoln Center announced today the presenter line up for the upcoming 40th Chaplin Award honoring Academy Award-winner Barbra Streisand, on the evening of April 22nd at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center. The celebration in honor of the international film legend's groundbreaking career will feature musical performances and film and interview clips culminating in the presentation of The Chaplin Award by President Bill Clinton.

The lights on Shaftesbury Avenue will be dimmed tonight from 7:28 to 7:30pm to honor the late Richard Griffiths, who passed March 28 at age 65.

According to the New York Times, Shakespeare's classic romatic tradgedy Romeo and Juliet is coming back to Broadway this summer. Helmed by David Leveaux, the production will star Tony nominee Condola Rashad and Orlando Bloom- making his Broadway debut in the role. Joining them in the play, which is set to open on September 19 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, will be Jayne Houdyshell as the Nurse and Joe Morton as Lord Capulet.

Composer Stephen Sondheim will receive the 54th Edward MacDowell Medal, it was revealed today. Awarded by The MacDowell Colony, one of the nation's leading artist residency programs, The MacDowell Medal has been awarded annually to an individual artist who has made an outstanding contribution to his or her field.
