Broadway at the Cabaret - Top 5 Picks for November 9-15, Featuring Andréa Burns, Matt Doyle, and More!

Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Below, BroadwayWorld brings you some cabaret highlights for this week as picked by our theatre editors, including: Sally Mayes & Jeff Harnar in 'Double Take'; Andrea Burns at 54 Below; Tamara Tunie: Mash Up!; Matt Doyle & Bonnie Milligan at 54 Below; and Daisy and Jordan: Rejected Bond Girls.

ETC to Present BUYER AND CELLAR

Grab your shopping bags! You won't want to miss the regional premiere of Buyer and Cellar, the hit comedy by Jonathan Tolins. This outrageous one-man play takes us to the lavish home (well…basement) of Barbra Streisand, where we attempt to navigate this leading lady's personal shopping mall through the eyes of her salesclerk, or the keeper of all things Barbra. Buyer and Cellar will star ETC veteran Nick Cearley (Next to Normal, The Great American Trailer Park Musical) and plays October 13 and runs through November 1, 2015. Directed by D. Lynn Meyers.

BWW Review: Huntington Theatre Company's Glamorous A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC

The genius of Stephen Sondheim is on display in Huntington Theatre Company's production of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, and Artistic Director Peter DuBois casts a vast array of local actors with a few Broadway veterans for a luminous spectacle. Lavish costumes and lush orchestrations counter a minimalist scenic design, and the singing and acting do justice to one of Sondheim's masterworks.

STAGE TUBE: Michael Cerveris, John Carinani & More Strip Down with The Skivvies!

The Skivvies are back in action! Lauren Molina and Nick Cearley, award-winning NYC actor/musicians doing stripped down versions of eclectic covers and comedic, genre-hopping mashups. Not only are the arrangements stripped down - cello, ukulele, glockenspiel, melodica - but the Skivvies literally strip down to their underwear to perform. It's undie-rock at its finest. Featured in People Magazine's Hottest Bodies Issue as the Most Playful performers, the Wall Street Journal calls them 'highly original...smart...ingenious'.
