Tomorrow night (March 10) Laura Osnes will assume the role of Ensign Nellie Forbush replacing Kelli O'Hara and David Pittsinger will again take over the role of Emile de Becque.

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop, Artistic Director and Bernard Gersten, Executive Director) has announced that Laura Osnes will assume the role of Ensign Nellie Forbush in its Tony Award winning production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's SOUTH PACIFIC, directed by Bartlett Sher, beginning Tuesday, March 10 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre, located within The West Bank Caf? (407 West 42nd St.), is pleased to continue our Friday night soiree, THE AFTER PARTY. Now going strong in it's third year, THE AFTER PARTY is billed as 'a weekly schmoozefest for the theatrically inclined.' Every Friday from 10:30 pm until the wee hours, pros from Broadway and aspiring stars alike belt it out on the stage of The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Due to the overwhelming audience and critical response Sardi's management has scheduled additional Saturday evening concerts with Broadway star and vocal power house, JAMES BARBOUR. The new concert series, entitled 'LOVE SONGS' will premiere on Saturday, January 31st and continue through Saturday, February 28th at Broadway's premiere destination, SARDI'S (234 West 44th Street - between Broadway & Eighth Avenue). Musical Direction is by Jeremy Roberts. Broadway's LAURA OSNES will be Mr. Barbour's Special Guest Artist on Saturday, February 21. LAURA OSNES made her Broadway debut last year as Sandy in Grease, having won the role on NBC's reality TV competition 'Grease: You're The One That I Want.' She's appeared in NY workshops/concerts of Pride & Prejudice, TinaGirlstar, Death Takes a Holiday, and Einstein's Dreams. Favorite regional roles include the title role in Peter Pan, Chava in Fiddler on the Roof, Sandy in Grease, Kim McAfee in Bye Bye Birdie, and Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. The show features a book by Ivan Menchell, music by Frank Wildhorn, lyrics by Don Black, direction by Jeff Calhoun and music direction by John McDaniel. Starring in the reading will be Laura Osnes as Bonnie and Stark Sands as Clyde.

Katie Thompson's work as a songwriter has been featured in Monday Night's New Voices, and can be heard on either of her two albums, What I've Done Right and KT Live. Lindsay Baker & Amanda Jacobs are the writing team behind the Broadway bound musical, Pride & Prejudice.

The 2008 Tony Award nominated production of GREASE will play its final performance on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 W 47th Street) on Sunday, January 4, 2009. Upon closing, GREASE will have played 554 performances and 31 previews. The first national tour, starring 'American Idol' winner Taylor Hicks, launched Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence, RI.
