Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop, Artistic Director and Bernard Gersten, Executive Director) has announced that Laura Osnes will assume the role of Ensign Nellie Forbush in its Tony Award winning production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's SOUTH PACIFIC, directed by Bartlett Sher, beginning Tuesday, March 10 at the Vivian Beaumont Theater.

Now going strong in it's third year, THE AFTER PARTY is billed as 'a weekly schmoozefest for the theatrically inclined.' Every Friday from 10:30 pm until the wee hours, pros from Broadway and aspiring stars alike belt it out on the stage of The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Join hosts BRANDON CUTRELL (Bistor, MAC and Nightlife Award winner) and ALYSHA UMPHRESS (Make Me A Song) with RAY FELLMAN (Bistro Award winner) at the piano for this weekly party in the theatre district.

Due to the overwhelming audience and critical response Sardi's management has scheduled additional Saturday evening concerts with Broadway star and vocal power house, JAMES BARBOUR. The new concert series, entitled 'LOVE SONGS' will premiere on Saturday, January 31st and continue through Saturday, February 28th at Broadway's premiere destination, SARDI'S (234 West 44th Street - between Broadway & Eighth Avenue). Musical Direction is by Jeremy Roberts. Broadway's LAURA OSNES will be Mr. Barbour's Special Guest Artist on Saturday, February 21. LAURA OSNES made her Broadway debut last year as Sandy in Grease, having won the role on NBC's reality TV competition 'Grease: You're The One That I Want.' She's appeared in NY workshops/concerts of Pride & Prejudice, TinaGirlstar, Death Takes a Holiday, and Einstein's Dreams. The cast of this brand new production of this Broadway masterpiece will feature Tony Award nominees Penny Fuller (Applause, Dividing The Estate) as ?Desiree? and Mark Jacoby (Ragtime) as ?Fredrick,? Broadway veteran Sheila Smith (Follies) as ?Madame Armfeldt,? Laura Osnes (Grease) as ?Anne? and Rachel de Benedet (Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Nine) as ?Charlotte.? The concert, dubbed 'A Night with The Ladies', will feature the work of five incredible women: Deborah Abramson & Amanda Yesnowitz, Katie Thompson, and Lindsay Baker & Amanda Jacobs. Deborah Abramson & Amanda Yesnowitz will present songs from their piece, The History of War, for which Chip Zien provided the book. Katie Thompson's work as a songwriter has been featured in Monday Night's New Voices, and can be heard on either of her two albums, What I've Done Right and KT Live. Lindsay Baker & Amanda Jacobs are the writing team behind the Broadway bound musical, Pride & Prejudice.

The 2008 Tony Award nominated production of GREASE will play its final performance on Broadway at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre (256 W 47th Street) on Sunday, January 4, 2009. Upon closing, GREASE will have played 554 performances and 31 previews. The first national tour, starring 'American Idol' winner Taylor Hicks, launched Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at the Providence Performing Arts Center in Providence, RI.
