Below, meet the cast and creative team of the York Theatre Company's 2017 summer New2NY Series presentation of the new musical Me & Ella, written and performed by Andrea Frierson (Once on This Island, The Lion King), direction by the Tony Award-winning team of Murphy Cross and Paul Kreppel (Jay Johnson: The Two and Only), with music direction and arrangements by Ron Abel (Hazel, A Musical Maid in America, 'Happily Divorced')!

The York Theatre Company, dedicated to the development of new musicals and preserving musical gems from the past, has announced the 2017 summer New2NY Series presentation of the new musical Me & Ella, written and performed by Andrea Frierson (Once on This Island, The Lion King), direction by the Tony Award-winning team of Murphy Cross and Paul Kreppel (Jay Johnson: The Two and Only), with music direction and arrangements by Ron Abel (Hazel, A Musical Maid in America, 'Happily Divorced').

THE WORLD ACCORDING TO SNOOPY simply takes the cake.

Ryne Nardecchia - a product of the Humphreys School of Musical Theatre and recent Texas State grad - returns to Houston to play one of comics' most iconic characters and possibly America's most famous canine, Snoopy, in the Theatre Under the Stars production of THE WORLD ACCORDING TO SNOOPY.

After premiering Off-Broadway 13 years ago, The Tricky Part, heads to the City of Brotherly Love for a  two-night limited engagement May 22-23. The true story of a young Martin Moran, The Tricky Part has been called "a translucent memoir of a play … shattering and affecting" by Ben Brantley of The New York Times. This production of The Tricky Part is part of Drexel University's Entertainment & Arts Management Program's Producing Live Entertainment class, led by Drexel professor and Broadway producer Brannon Wiles.

LA's live music venue Rockwell Table and Stage in Los Feliz will host a Mother's Day edition of their ongoing line-up show An Evening of Classic Broadway.

Theatre Aspen announced that season passes go on sale today for the upcoming summer season. A variety of passes, with exclusive access to booking seats, no fees and other benefits, are available, including specially priced preview passes and the popular Local's Pass for valley residents, offered through June 5. This week The 5th Avenue Theatre and ACT - A Contemporary Theatre plot their first step in musical mayhem and begin rehearsals for the drop dead funny musical comedy Murder for Two.

Broadway vet and musical comedy genius Jason Graae will be one of several incredible performers that will be presenting JERRY HERMAN: THE BROADWAY LEGACY CONCERT at Orange County's Segerstrom Center for the Arts from January 19 - 21, 2017. For three performances at the Center's Samueli Theater---the campus' intimate cabaret space---Graae and five other artists will be taking the stage to pay tribute to Jerry Herman's musical legacy, highlighted by musical numbers from his many classic shows that include MAME, MACK AND MABEL, HELLO, DOLLY!, and LA CAGE AUX FOLLES.

Theatre Aspen announced the lineup for its 34th season today. The Hurst Theatre opens with the Tony Award-winning musical HAIRSPRAY, running in repertory with Laura Eason's popular play Sex with Strangers, and a new version of the musical The World According to Snoopy. The organization also announced the return of the Aspen Theatre Festival for new work at the end of August.

The Lyric Stage Company of Boston announces cast and creative team for MURDER FOR TWO, with Book & Music by Joe Kinosian and Book & Lyrics by Kellen Blair. Directed by A. Nora Long with Music Director Bethany Aiken, the production runs November 25 - December 24, 2016, with a press opening slated for Sunday, November 27, 3pm.
