Beginning Monday, May 31, 2010 at 4:00 pm (PST), Los Angeles theatre professionals Michael Sterling & Paul Stroili take to the airwaves with STATE OF THE ARTS (SOTA), an all-new, 50 minute, weekly worldwide radio series devoted to coverage of the performing arts in Los Angeles and beyond.

STATE OF THE ARTS (SOTA), the new, weekly performing arts radio series - Mondays at 4:00 pm PST on LATalkRadio.com - has partnered with BREAKDOWN SERVICES as its presenting sponsor, it was announced today by SOTA co-producers/co-hosts and theatre professionals MICHAEL STERLING & PAUL STROILI.

Annually cited as the most popular supper club of its kind in Los Angeles, Sterling's Upstairs at Vitello's in Studio City, CA is pleased to announce that Broadway musical theatre stars JANET KRUPIN, JANENE LOVULLO, and DOUG CARPENTER & JESSICA KEENAN WYNN will make their cabaret concert debuts during May, 2010.

Last Month, Arena Stage announced six productions and two major festivals that will inaugurate the company's new venue the Mead Center for American Theater next year. In addition to those exciting projects, Artistic Director Molly Smith is pleased to complete the 2010/11, 60th anniversary season lineup with the inclusion of the pre-Broadway world premiere of A Time to Kill-an adaptation by Rupert Holmes of the acclaimed John Grisham novel presented by special arrangement with Daryl Roth-and Let Me Down Easy, conceived, written and performed by Anna Deavere Smith. Both productions will be staged in the Mead Center's restored and remarkably intimate Kreeger Theater.

Second Stage Theatre is pleased to announce that the critically acclaimed production of Anna Deavere Smith's LET ME DOWN EASY, has extended four weeks, through December 6. Conceived, written, and performed by Ms. Smith and directed by Leonard Foglia, LET ME DOWN EASY opened on Wednesday, October 7 and was originally scheduled to run through November 8.

Second Stage Theatre will host a post-performance conversation between Anna Deavere Smith and Elizabeth Alexander following the Thursday, December 3 evening performance of Let Me Down Easy. A renowned poet, essayist and playwright, Elizabeth Alexander most recently composed and delivered the poem 'Praise Song for the Day' for the inauguration of President Barack Obama. The conversation is free to all in attendance at the Thursday, December 3 8:00pm performance.
