Ben Rimalower's PATTI ISSUES, written and performed by Ben Rimalower and directed by Aaron Mark, has been extended by popular demand at The Duplex through November 2012. La MaMa E.T.C. presents the World Premiere of Triple Shadow's new theater production, 2 FROM THE SEA, composed of two solo adaptations of plays whose themes are based on stories of the sea: Holiday Memory by Dylan Thomas, performed by Seamus Maynard, and Riders to the Sea by John Millington Synge, performed by Mari Andrejco. Both are directed by Beth Skinner and feature live music composed and performed by Edward Herbst. Lighting design is by Bessie and Drama Desk-winner Paul Clay (RENT), and scenic design is by Obie Award-winner Jun Maeda. The three-week season runs October 18 through November 4 at La MaMa E.T.C., 74 East 4th Street, NYC.

The RRazz Room, San Francisco's premier nightclub, presents the return of Tony nominated performer Mx Justin Vivian Bond for a special three night engagement, October 12 through October 14. This engagement is the Bay Area premiere of Bond's new show "Mx America," which celebrate the release of the album 'Silver Wells.'

La MaMa E.T.C. in association with Rising Art A.C. Mexico City is set to present Die: Roll to Proceed. The interactive "roll-your-own-adventure" dark comedy, developed by Mind The Art Entertainment, is coming home to its birthplace La MaMa E.T.C. this November bigger and better with an expanded team of designers, fuller set, new music, exciting twists and 168 more possible outcomes.

LUZ-a new play by Catherine Filloux (DOG AND WOLF, LEMKIN'S HOUSE)-will be given its world-premiere production this fall, with previews beginning tonight, September 28 prior to an official press opening October 4 at La MaMa's First Floor Theatre (74A E. 4 St.) in Manhattan. LUZ is a Watson Arts Project, which presents original theater with a particular emphasis on women. LUZ is scheduled to run through October 14.

From October 26 to November 17, August Strindberg Repertory Theatre will present an innovative double-bill of Strindberg's plays, 'Casper's Fat Tuesday,' translated by Jonathan Howard, and 'The Stronger,' translated by Robert Greer. The evening is a 'sweet and sour' pairing of one undiscovered play and a novel adaptation of a more familiar one. Both translations are world premieres. The plays will be directed by Robert Greer, produced by the Strindberg Rep and the Pink Pig Ballet in association with Theater Resources Unlimited, and performed at Gene Frankel Theatre, 24 Bond Street (East Village).

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre - the acclaimed gay comedy/variety show - will open its fourth season tonight, September 20, 2012 at The Duplex in New York's West Village. Each edition of The Meeting* honors a different gay icon; the September show will pay tribute to Disco chart-topper Sylvester with special guests Bridget Everett, Ben Rimalower and Xavier. Musical Director is Brandon James Gwinn.

Pioneer Theatre Company opens their 2012-2013 season on Friday with the Regional Premiere of the Tony Award-winning musical In the Heights. The production runs from September 14 through September 29, 2012, at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre in Salt Lake City Utah.

Theatre of Yugen (Yu - deep, quiet, otherworldly Gen - subtle, profound, dark) presents 'Animating Mystical Abyss: A Lecture/Screening/Demonstration' at the Joe Goode Annex tonight, September 8. Come meet Mystical Abyss animator and CG (computer graphic) designer, Taketo Kobayashi in this one-time demonstration of his artistic process. Learn about the world of 3D animation and the ancient Japanese Jomon designs that inspire Kobayashi and his creations.

Producing theater companies Liberation Theatre Company, Woodie King Jr.'s National Black Touring Circuit, and SOUL PROductions have teamed up to present Eric Lockley's hilarious affirmative action comedy, Blacken The Bubble at The HSA Theater (645 Saint Nicholas Avenue). Blacken The Bubble will begin preview performances October 11, 2012 and will officially open October 13, 2012 at 7:00 pm.
