FROZEN Soundtrack Holds Strong at Top of Billboard Album Chart for 9th Week

BURBANK, Calif., April 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ The Platinum-certified Frozen soundtrack maintains the No. 1 slot on the Billboard Top 200 album chart spending nine non-consecutive weeks in the top position according to Nielsen SoundScan. Selling 149,000 copies in the week ending April 6, the soundtrack has sold 1.9 million copies and 5.9 million combined digital tracks in its 19 th week of release. Frozen is the first album to sell a million units in 2014 and isexpected to cross 2M sales later this week.

Earlier this year, the music of Disney's mega-hit film FROZEN was celebrated with live performances at Los Angeles' Vibrato Grill Jazz club. Kristen Bell (voice of Anna), Idina Menzel (voice of Elsa), Josh Gad (voice of Olaf) and Santino Fontana (voice of Hans) took the stage, accompanied by a live orchestra conducted by David Metzger, to perform songs from the Oscar®-nominated, Golden Globe®-winning film, including the Oscar-nominated 'Let It Go.' This weekend, Disney's 'Frozen' officially became the highest grossing animated film of all time, and with $1.072 billion worldwide, it has also entered the list of the top 10 biggest films of all time. The Walt Disney Studios' seventh billion-dollar release, 'Frozen' has earned an estimated $398.4 million at the domestic box office and $674 million internationally.
