Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) has announced casting for The Tale of the Allergist's Wife by Charles Busch, the final production of the 2013 Playhouse Productions Summer Season. Golden Globe winner and four-time Academy Award nominee for Best Actress, Marsha Mason, will star as Marjorie Taub. David Garrison ("Married With Children") and Lynn Cohen ("Sex and the City") have also joined the cast. Previously announced, four-time Tony Award winnerBoyd Gaines will direct. Broadway and Bucks County Playhouse Producing Director Jed Bernstein will be recognized at The Media Theatre Gala on Saturday February 23 for his contribution to the American theatre. He will receive the 2013 Achievement in The Theatre Award during the evening's pre-show ceremony, which will culminate with a performance by Broadway star Justin Guarini.
