Directed by Hal Brooks (Pulitzer Prize finalist Thom Pain), previews begin tonight, October 2 at The Wild Project. Opening night is slated for Thursday, October 10.

Partial Comfort Productions Extends AND MILES TO GO Through 11/2

Partial Comfort Productions (Drama Desk nominee A Bright New Boise) kicks off it's 11th season with the World Premiere of AND MILES TO GO by Chad Beckim. Directed by Hal Brooks (Pulitzer Prize finalist Thom Pain), previews begin October 3 at The Wild Project. Opening night is slated for Thursday, October 10. Originally, scheduled to close October 26, performances have been extended through November 2nd by popular demand.

Rachel Maddow, Elizabeth Marvel & More Set for PUBLIC FORUM Series This Fall

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) will kick off the fourth season ofPUBLIC FORUM with the new series Drama Club, a book club for plays that will feature one-night-only readings and discussions of works by Kia Corthron, Tony Kushner, and Thornton Wilder at Joe's Pub. Curated by Jeremy McCarter, the popular PUBLIC FORUM series presents the theater of ideas: conversations and performances with leading voices in politics, media, and the arts.

MetroStage Presents GEE'S BEND, Now thru 11/3

Gee's Bend by Elyzabeth Gregory Wilder and directed by Thomas W. Jones II, music directed by William Hubbard and William Knowles will be in performance at MetroStage tonight, Sept. 12-Nov. 3. Gee's Bend tells the true story of the Pettway family in Gee's Bend, Alabama, as they live through segregation, the Civil Rights Movement and become famous for their iconic quilts. All of this is told with a backdrop of soul-stirring music in the gospel tradition that the Gee's Bend women sang as they quilted.

Tyne Daly to Take Part in League of Professional Theatre Women's Oral History Interview, 10/7

Betty R. and Ralph Sheffer Foundation and The League of Professional Theatre Women will present Award-winning actress TYNE DALY for the next Oral History interview on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 6:00 pm at the Bruno Walter Auditorium of the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts on 65th Street & Amsterdam Avenue. humRumbleROAR Productions has announced the world premiere production of Chisa Hutchinson's ALONDRA WAS HERE, directed by Jade King Carroll. ALONDRA WAS HERE will play a limited engagement at The Wild Project (195 East 3rd Street, NYC). Performances begin tonight, May 4 and continue through Saturday, May 18. Opening Night is Wednesday, May 8 (7 p.m.).

Cherry Lane Theater Announces LAWNPEOPLE and EXILE Casting

Casting has been announced for the Cherry Lane Theatre's 2013 Mentor Project plays LAWNPEOPLE by Natalia Naman and EXILE by Nastaran Ahmadi. Both plays debut as part of Cherry Lane Theatre's 15th anniversary MENTOR PROJECT (38 Commerce St. in Manhattan), the award-winning season which began February 20 and concludes April 13.
