Mr. Garfein is one of the last living links to the Golden Age of The Actors Studio. Required reading for anyone interested in theatre, the book is being launched with a signing at The Drama Book Shop this Friday, March 18th, 5:30-7:00 pm.

Musical Version of THE BODYGUARD in the Works

According to What'sonstage.com, producer David Ian has acquired the rights to a musical adaptation of the 1992 film, 'THe Bodyguard.' ian, who recaently produced West End's FLASHDANCE, is aiming for a West End run in 2012. The musical will most likely featurethe iconic 'I Will Aways Love You' along with other songs from Whitney Houston's repitoire.

Starz Sells Quarter Equity Stake To Weinstein Company

In a significant strategic partnership within the ever-changing home/digital entertainment market, Starz, LLC has agreed to sell The Weinstein Company (TWC) a 25% stake in Starz Media, LLC, a programming production, home entertainment and international TV distribution company which includes Anchor Bay Entertainment and other TV/home entertainment assets. Separately, Anchor Bay has entered into a multi-year domestic distribution agreement for new theatrical content from TWC and its Dimension Films label.
